I have to admit, I say it quite a bit but usually if I'm trying to figure out what to say, and I use it as a filler word.

I actually only ever knew one girl who overused the word "like." High school in rural Pennsylvania (not even suburban, really), and there was Dawn, with a "like" every other word. Sounded like a damn valley girl.

All girls aren't like that. I mean i have some girily girl friends that say "like" a lot and its not because there snobby it just became a habit. And i have like other weird really fun and goofy friends that dont. Now i say like a lot but i cant help it. Its LIKE a word. deal with it.

ummm because they think that someone will buy that for Them if they say it repeatedly >.<
Atleast it better to say "like'' always
cause it's kinda different when they say "I Love it" out-of-the-blue dont ya think?? @_@

I don't use unnecessary fillers. I only use the word like in simile and things i enjoy. I don't enjoy sound like some brain dead person using the word "like" every five minutes.

I don't know. Don't tackle! LOL
I don't use 'like' a lot though and I am a female. I can only recall myself using 'like' when I am using a simile. But certainly, there are many girls who use 'like' a lot to stop awkward pauses or just because they have nothing to say. :D
"Like oh my gosh! Like can you believe it?! I just like-like got done cleaning my poodle like three minutes ago. Like you should definitely come and like see my poodle darling."<--Is that what men are wondering about? O.o
Yeah, it irritates me too... >.>
Why can't we just say it this way: "Hey, I just finished cleaning my poodle three minutes ago, so you should come over and see the adjustments"? LOL Just joking.
