Umm beause humans are social beings and copy things people do uncontiously. Boys don't say like because boys don't say like. Girls say like because girls say like. But notice it's only a certain type of girl that says like. People are very complicated beings to explain. I understand why because I take ap psychology but... I just don't know how to explain. My vocabulary is not vast enough. One day when i fill my vocabulary cup and an ample amount of words fill my mind I will teach you >_<

Almost none of the girls I talk to overuse the word "like".

Just another way of saying 'umm' 'er' or whatever between words. Not a big deal really, but some people do it a bit too much.

the only time i use "like" besides saying that i enjoy something is estimating something.
ex. "i think there are like 80 noodles in that cup of ramen." lol what a random example
