Wasting money you say? sure, they are wasting money, but so is everyone in the world. Money comes and money goes.
besides, its not your money, and each country and culture needs to have their own language, that's the beauty of learning other cultures.

They can learn their 'native language' (despite most coming areas with no history of speaking Gaelic, such as the Pale, or from families that have already disused Gaelic by the end of the Famine), just that the Government should stop requiring it for everything. Bilingual signs, legislations printed in both language, forcing it upon the Children, and then forcing upon the European Parliament are all useless gestures trying to revive a dying language, spoken, in ancient times, by the proud Gaels who lived in glorious mudhuts and blamed the rain that destroy their previous glorious mudhuts on the another clan. No one speaks it, and no one care to be forced to learn it.

Bhahaha XD Yes, the government is forcing it on people, ofcourse, they tie people on trees and force them to learn the language.
Listen, if you wanna talk about the government forcing people, then you should check your own government what's it forcing.
That's how for your information, the USA started forcing the world to learn english. Why didn't the british do that? ha? since ofcourse, the US stole the language from the brits....

We're not forcing English upon the world, just that the majority of business transaction occurs in anglophonic countries, such as the US, The United Kingdoms of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Canada, &c. And, for your information, the British did somewhat impose English upon half the world (seeing as they earned it through their might).

yes ofcourse, since the whole world magically started working business since the USA came...what a weird weird coincidence...
Look, point is, it's ireland, the language is irish, just like any other school and like any other government, they force 2 languages at the school, like english and french, or english and spanish or whatever...they have the right to teach and learn irish.
Oh and just because these few people aren't happy about it, doesn't mean the whole country isn't.
Besides, who doesn't hate learning other languages? humans are lazy.

They have the right to teach Irish, they should not make it complusory.

The World did business prior, only now, most businesses are conducted in English because of the vast economic importance of the Anglophonic nations. No one is forcing them into English, it is just nescessary for all transaction of Modern International Business.

On no, I wouldn't suggest the execution and butchery of several hundred million people and other such activities that offend our modern sediments, not at all, I simply wish to reduce the population of the world through the necessary termination of cumbersome individuals whose hedonistic and extravegant lifestyle can no longer be sustained by our dwindling natural resources。

Spare me your sentimentalities. Just because you don't agree with the method, doesn't mean it isn't efficient. But this is off topic.

The World isnt perfect orange and frankly your topic is unimportant compared to other things we could be debating that have more practical application. Seeing as though I doubt you actually give a shit on the subject, and are just playing devil's advocate Im not going to argue with you anymore. I appreciate your help on the religous forums, becuase i share opinions with you but you obviously dont have an apreciation for culture.

The world may be a logical place as far as exsistance is concerned, but people and their emotions are not; therefore trying to practically apply scientific economics to culture is a lost cause as is telling people to stop breathing.

This actually takes priority over religion. While I would love to see a language saved, I would rather not have money wasted. If they want to learn it, they would learn it by through their own volition. I speak a useless dying language myself, and I admit it is useless and dying.

Wasting money on a language? alright, let me tel you something mister sister, your government is the one wasting billions of dollars every year on some stupid ass bombs and some stupid ass space stations...what have we gained from it other than "Did you know that there used to be water on mars?" yea, BIG DEAL!
If your so sure about your methods and so wise, why don't you go work as a president? I'm sure your "theories" will take place and action.
"Dying language" that's all you care about ha? you can't sleep because of that issue ha?
Go look at africans and indians building their houses every damn day because of nature disasters, orphans sleeping with diseases and no diapers bleeding from rashes, searching for damn food to eat every single day!
5 year old kids taking care of their dying moms and siblings! All because of what!? because of your stupid government wasting their stupid billions of money on creating massive super destructive bombs, and some stupid ass organizations..
You wanna help save the world?! Get your ass to work and help! not destroy "population" so that you can be happy.

Ah...poor dear sir, inflicted with an inability to use proper grammar or to speak coherently. Now, I did not say dying languages it on the top of the list, I am just saying that language is much more important to me than Religion. That is not to say that it is much more important than World Poverty, AIDS, and the myriad of other problems that affect the world. Now, dear Philistine, should I go the scientific implication that the existence of Water on Mars?

- Water=Possibility of Life. There may be life on Mars, yet undiscovered, and, thus, it is possible that our planet is not the only one out there this not only can sustain life, but does.

- Human colonisation- with the possibility of holding life, there is also the possibility of human habitation. That is to say, if we fuck up this Earth of ours, there is still Mars.

As for the bombs- while I certainly don't approve of wasting money upon a weapon that turns War into an artless game of 'Do I as I say or else', it is not the complete waste of money. With a super bomb, we can create a Pax Americana, peace due to the overriding superiority of the American Military might.

So, while my heart certainly bleed for those things you mention, I suppose you should actually read what I type before giving a tirade, irately and inanely accusing me of being either a fool or a heartless bastard.
