It took me and my brother forever to complete:
Half Life 1 and Opposing force, cause those games takes long time.
I've played the sims for almost 1000 hours, and i stil haven't completed it. 
On my Xfire profile i've registered over 2500 hours of World of Warcraft, and i have even played without my xfire on. |

For the sake of argument, MMO's shouldn't count as 'long games' simply because they never end.
From my experience, Persona 4 was a pretty long game at ~ 80 hours.
Oblivion I played for over 100 hours but I was just dicking around most of the time. The main story doesn't take nearly that long to complete.

If you are a RTS fan i would say many of the Total War games could qualify for longest game (especially Rome Total War or Medieval 2).
this is because of the huge amount of mods available many of which alone are a few dozen hours, but i guess what the " longest game " is really depends on which kind of game you like, some people might spend 20 hours with a game some one else could spend 200 hours playing.

for me it would have to be Persona series.... persona 3 took me about 80 hours and i haven't even touched the answer part of the game.... Persona 4 which i haven't beaten has about 60 hours on it... and i just started persona 1 and 2... but i'm sure they will be long as well...
also pokemon.... just too much fun to stop playing.
