Why?? The bottom toolbar was so useful why delete it? TT_TT

At least bring back the notification bar at the bottom. I'm not really use to going to the top of the page to check for a notification.

Put me down as another person who misses the bottom bar. It provided a small, concise list of the series I watch along with their respective previous/next air times in a single click. Now to see my watch list I have to click the arrow next to my name, choose favorites, and then click through to each series that I want to see the airing information on. (And the favorites list is by no means concise since the "poster" images are really big.)

If this was removed due to user feedback, perhaps make it a configurable option for those of us that liked it?

Wow. What the heck? Excuse the tone, but is this site for your personal preferences, or to provide a service to customers, including paying customers such as myself?

Surely there could be proper engineering solutions to find a middle ground between site performance and retaining a feature that customers find useful. Were you retrieving all the information in the bottom bar with each page load? In the example of the favorites list in the bottom left hand corner, instead of loading all that information whether the user looks at it or not, load it at the time the user clicks on the link via AJAX and display it.

Just wtf?

Crunchyroll's been changing once a while, and I do agree this site needs some decent upgrades to attract new users and customers but I'd like you to announce the changes you plan on using way before than doing it instantly and telling the people AFTER you did it. If you'd do it like that, we as users could give our feedback and opinions about your 'Plans '. Now's everyone raging about the 'Black bar ' being deleted, and 'I don't like bars that stay at the bottom of the screen anymore' makes you sound like a moron who's not even taking care of the people in your site.

Shinji while I understand why you would want to take out the bottom bar do to it being static and causing slower loads, I would kindly ask that you try to at least replicate part of the functionality of the bar in the favorites list that you added. I really liked that when I clicked the Favorites Button or watch-list it said exactly when the last/next episode would be out as I tend to not be able to remember them all and when they are released while http://www.crunchyroll.com/favs just gives me pictures of the shows and tells me nothing about the current episode count or ETA like the toolbar did. Also for the Watchlist it would be nice if it said watched 24/35 next episode in 2 days (for example). Thanks for taking the time to read this post and I look forward to your reply.

EDIT: Also I wanted to say you could make the bar a removable/customizable option as well as if the issue is with iPad or mobile browsers you can configure the site to not load it based on the User Agent of the browser and have the site better optimized for the browsers while still allowing flexibility and removing components (like the bottom bar) from loading on the mobile browsers while still allowing it as an option on the desktop browsers. Personally I'd like for the black bar to come back. However, from my understanding, the black box in which always remains on screen and at the bottom slows down the system. This is my proposal: instead of just eliminating it, place it on the top (not as some confusing, time-consuming, useless fav page) under the orange bar and remove the function in which it always remains on the page

Nice that now the annoying greyish black bar fixed at the bottom of every page is now gone since I don't really used it at the start of this year.

Although the revised default text is a tad slightly smaller which makes have to squint a little to actually read...
