Anyone else having trouble playing videos since upgrading to Adobe Flash Player 10.1?

Ever since I upgraded to Flash 10.1 earlier today, whenever I try to watch a video, the video doesn't load and/or play, even after letting it sit there a few minutes.

Yeah, I've tried uninstalling Flash 10.1 then reinstalling it, but it didn't make any difference.

I have been running flash 10.1 fine since it was beta 1 (and every version since) with no problem, so I don't think it is Flash 10.1 (though I do use the debugging version, not the normal version). I would suggest following the instructions at http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-627053/help-with-recent-video-playback-problems/ and see if that helps

Actually I just checked with my friend and he has the same issue, so i think it does have something to do with it. (I also confirmed that he had installed 10.1 as well)

I think installing an older version should do it. Maybe its just that the new Flash player isn't supported by crunchyroll yet.

This is only my theory though, I'm not that amazing with computers.

If your using Firefox the new version stopped playing videos for me as well. I just tryed Internet Explorer (yeah I know it sucks) but it seems the video is playing just fine now. Hope that helps until crunchyroll and Mozilla work out the problem.

I started having problems too with the new Firefox version 3.6.4 (update) as of tonight in playing videos. In my case, I have been running Flash 10.1 for awhile now without issue... it was fine until this Firefox update.

Google Chrome seems to be working fine with Crunchyroll while running Flash 10.1 -- maybe worth a try until the Firefox issue is resolved.

It seems like there's an issue with the new "crash protection" feature of Firefox and Flash videos here on Crunchyroll.

ah, maybe its firefox 3.6.4, i hadn't had that update applied yet (my firefox hadn't told me there was an update). I would suggest either going back down a firefox version since 10.1 has hardware acceleration and 10 didn't.

Yea, Firefox 3.6.4 is the cause of the problem and we're working to fix this. Didn't realize Firefox 3.6.4 was no longer in Beta, was hoping we'd have this resolved before then.

Quoted everyone in the thread:

The problem, with the videos not playing in Firefox 3.6.4, should be fixed now.

I still can't watch videos with firefox 3.6.4
I tried many different versions of flash to no avail.
IE works just fine... but I hate it.
Going back to 3.5.1 works just fine.

I don't know if it matters at all but I'm running this on 64bit Windows 7

I am using Windows 7 64 bit and flash 10.1 (debugging version) without a problem on firefox 3.6.4 so there is probably something else causing it for you. Have you tried clearing your cache to make sure you didn't somehow have an old version cached?

Yep, that's the first thing I did. Cache, history, cookies, all cleared. I even restored my about:config just in case I had an odd setting that was causing the problem. Still, the videos won't load. It might also be relevant that I've been using the prerelease of flash 10.1 just fine, but with the upgrade to firefox 3.6.4, it asked that we update to the latest version of flash, being the official release of 10.1
Even so, going back to that version still doesn't work. Perhaps it's a plugin conflict. I'll have to play around to figure it out.
