I kinda agree with him, I dislike our incredibly sex based culture, i think i screws up the mindset of young people into thinking that they need to have sex to be popular, when i was in high school i saw lots of that, all the popular girls had lost their virginity at like 14, and had already gone through like 7 boyfriends in 2 years. Same for the popular boys as well. And I live in the US.

It is a sad fact that sexual encounters happen at an earlier and earlier age. The average for both boys and girls now is around 11 or 12 (Sullivan, Developmental Psychologist). This same research has shown that sex at such an early age has no direct causation or even correlation to their cognitive development. The important thing is that we educate our children, in this world, with the morals and values that we as parents adhere to. It is more important to give them the education than act as authoritarian powers and expect them to follow our every command as if they were slaves. If they are forced to make their own decisions, we need to ensure they are well educated enough to make the right decisions - whatever those may be.

As for going through 7 boyfriends, this is a common happening for middle school through high school. There are varying forms of relationships: Infatuation, Status, & Bonding are only 3 examples. Dating someone who you admired from afar and dumping them after you learn who they truly are would be Infatuation (common in Middle and Jr. High), dating due to social norms or to gain popularity and respect would be classified as Status (common in Jr & High School). It is not until someone reaches adulthood that they are capable of holding a "bonding" relationship built on mutual respect where a couple acts as a team. Dating this much is not a problem at all, merely a stepping-stone in development toward adulthood.

Yeah, I lost my virginity at 14 to my best friend, lol. So I know what you mean. And yeah it is the responsibility of the parents to make sure their kids are educated. But the skools keep undermining the parents rights, like one school took a 14 year old pregnant girl to get an abortion and didn't even tell the parents or ask them. Now some skools are going to give condoms to the kids, again the parents have no say, and the skool supervisor said "The only thing that bothers me about this is that the kids have to ask for them" (meaning some kids wont ask cause they'll be embaresed)

(Yeah, I know i spelled school wrong, I do it on purpose)

I guess, I only had one girlfriend ever, but then again, I had / have no interest in girl / boy friends and haven't really put any effort into snagging one. So I dunno.

Well i guess its kinda true too but really, I dont take it that Japan should keep this content illegal. I mean, its what make animes awesome, spoilers or no spoilers. Honestly, I can't take in Hentai or far-too-perverted scenes because yeah I'm a teen but under 18. But still, I'm not backing out of anime just because of this.

Yup! Quite sick! They have a lot of AV idols, Hentais & lots of other perverted stuff! If there is a survey about "which country is the most preverted", i'm not surprised if it's japan no.1! US could be no. 2!

well to be fair, it doesnt make someone a pedo for lusting for minors 16 and up but if there lusting for minors under the age 16 then more likely they gotta lolicomplex >.> on the other hand what does bother me is the fact they now have little girls who arent sexually matured being featured on Junior idol mags in skimpy swimsuits and G-strings, it bothers me that these girls have no idea why these older men are buying these mags and looking at them in the first place I dont think young girls at there age need to be looked at sexually, there just way to young, however I can tollerate lollicon in fiction like manga and anime since there not real life children

Don't mean to hate on Japan or anything, but the teen idols in their mags are disturbing and sick. I mean, old dudes buy the stuff just to see girls in their teens in swimsuits and g-strings, that's not cool. It's also the fault of society for turning girls into lustful sex objects and the mindset that sex should be at an early age.

I don't touch lolicon, I can't comment on that. Hentai is tolerable with me since it is not real, but it is perverted of course.

I think that the world can be like that, like example america has magazines that have girls in little bikini's that hardley cover anything to just them completely in the nude, japan does it through drawings. and yes i'm aware that people like that kind of stuff, for myself...no i think its completely disgusting but its like sushi some people love it and some peopple find it completely disgusting, u cant juuust pinpoint japan....btw i love sushi but hate THAT stuff

OP is a rookie troll, but many already took the bait.

As for a response, you need to realize that Japan is not all about anime and everything you see in anime does not apply to the entire country.

Ever heard of a Kamikaze? They were I believe the first to ever use their pilots as suicide bombers. One could even say that the Muslims Extremist from the 9/11 attacks were probably inspired by this Japanese kamikaze extremist from WW 2. But I still love you Japan.

Japan has ALWAYS been perverted. There are some male adults that still read hardcore hentai while riding public transportation without caring for the female public present. At this point I think most people have learned to just ignore it. If you don't like hentai, lolicon, etc just don't watch it. As long as people who like that stuff don't go being a pervert with actual people without a consensual agreement I don't see what the problem is. Everybody is allowed their own likes no matter how inappropriate they may seem to others. As for media targeted to young viewers being inappropriate- is the job of the parents to watch out for that kind of stuff, though is not like they are not going to watch familiar stuff when they become older anyway.

No. No problem because first and foremost these mangas/anime are not aimed at adults but young adults. Animes based in a junior high setting are generally meant for that age category. Does it make you a pervert for liking someone in your age group? Seriously, do you know why they call it SHONEN jump. It is because it is meant for SHONEN or young boys. This means anyone over the age of 18 on this site that reads Shonen Jump, Sunday, Hobby, are according to your logic: SICK. The publishers cannot ban anyone the age of 18 or older to buy their products. Even then, can you imagine a ban on buying Bleach because Orohime is 15?

Is it really that different from what the US does with teen idols and pop stars. How many 18plus girls here like Justin Beiber or guys that like Miley? Wow, you must all be pedophiles. I don't know about you but I definitely feel safer in society if pedos can get their fix from drawings instead of real humans.

But yes fair enough, hentai imo can push international censorship and prepubescent representation should be better censored but Japan is trying. A law is currently being discussed to ban all sexual representation in the slightest for anyone under the age of 18. So say goodbye to Bleach's Orohime, Ichigo 100%, Naruto's Sakura, One Piece's Nami, Dragonball's Bulma and basically every anime here. Bye Crunchyroll. Is that what you wanted? Would that make the world a better place by censoring some panty flashes of cartoon characters?

There are plenty of REAL problems of pedophilia from child prostitution to the raping of virgins as a miracle cure for aids. Let's try cleaning up that first instead of worrying about some drawings.

america is worse. japanese young kids are probably a lot maturer and understands serious matters better, especially when it comes to emotions. they tend to put a lot of privacy in their lives.
