If it happens, it happens LA would be wiped out all the land near the large bodies of water. Anything near a fault line would fall into the sea or oceans. It would probably be up in Asia that might serve In America we have yellow stone a super volcano I know there are other but were. But at that piont do your realy care your dead. |

Well the one from the Bible is the most likely imo and the most preferred but I think that a good ol' Zombie Apocalypse would be pretty hot... or maybe like... hordes of demons and stuff from Hell and Humankind has to fight them off medieval style cuz guns don't work and stuff... |

More like a few billion years for the sun to swell into a red giant.
I seem to recall that well before that, however, the sun will become significantly hotter than it is now, enough so to render most life on the planet no longer viable, but even that is hundreds of millions of years in the future at the earliest.
