Do you find yourself starting to lose interest in anime, as you grow older?

I myself am starting to lose interest in most new anime.... Most new anime to me, is either stupid, childish, or disgusts me.

I really don't see myself watching anime anymore, once these shows come to an end:

1. Naruto
2. Bleach
3. One Piece
4. Hitman Reborn
5. Fairy Tale (maybe)
6. Full Metal Alchemist (the new one)
7. Gintama (whenever they start making eps again)

(shows are not in the order of which show I like the most)

Anyone else have a list of shows that would cause them to probably stop watching anime, should they end.

Nah it comes and goes. Something new always comes around. I'm also a fan of old anime, so there's always shit you can dig up.

Meh, kinda, but it's less the interest factor and more of the fact that I don't have the time anymore. When I was younger I had plenty of time to devote to watching anime, and the majority of my allowance went towards buying manga. Now I have way more stuff I gotta do, and a more active social life on top of that, and a lack of money which will probably last me throughout college >_> so yeah....

Sometimes, but I doubt it'll be anytime soon. I can see myself 60 years from now still reading manga.
Though, some of the newer anime has been disappointing. For once, I would like something new and original.

No not really. it's the show I grow bored of, like Naruto, One Piece, Shugo Chara & etc. if I see a new show that captures my interest, then I'll be hooked

yeah i am also losing interest in anime as well, i try to watch all sorts of series instead of one genre all time such as harem, ecchi, love-comedy, slice of life and now i am getting bored with that.. but there will always be the older series to re-watch over and over again.

Not really. It's a respectable art and it's worth watching, for people of all ages. My taste may change, as to which type of anime I prefer to watch, but I continue to enjoy anime.

I like anime, don't get me wrong on that. It's just they put too much focus on the newer, less simplistic anime. It's a lot like video games, love them but hate for them being milked to death by the most oblivious of reasons. If I find something like Golion, Slayers or Tekkaman Blade in its original format and it gives you the options for subs, I'm in. Bleach for example, I loved it at first but now..I'm yes or no about it. Now I'm a fan of vintage anime, because you can tell there is more heart and soul being put in the series as well as the story and I really miss that. Shows like Naruto, Bleach and One Piece are resembling like soap operas and suffice to say, it bores me. Unless you do something different like FMA did, it will get stale. I know most people aren't liking Brotherhood because it feels too much like the original but I like it because it takes the story into a different route, answering those questions about why this happened and all. Dragonball Kai could've done that but no..all it is is a filler-free story. I haven't lost interest in anime, I'm just appreciating the classics more.

Idk. I used to watch anime all the time but it got kinda boring.. idk.. I still read manga though. :)

I just have been more impatient I guess LOL. I hate waiting for updates.

Not sure, but I have been watching less since I've graduated. I thinks that's just life getting in the way though. Maybe it's because there hasn't been any new titles that have sparked my interest. Elfen Lied was pretty much the highpoint for me, so something similar to that should pull me right back.
