I looked around and...

I just wanted to spread my love for Durarara!! with these breaking news. If there is any to add, anything at all, then post it here! I may be wrong about some things. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Profiles and translations of the light novel are available on Live Journal from the lovely anni_fiesta as said on the light novel forum.

Some news were from either Live Journal or the official Durarara!! website.

Dicussions on these are perfectly fine.

You basically covered everything. Here's a couple more~

1.Aniplex Of America announced they licensed Durarara!! at Anime Expo 2010 (They also announced it will have a English Dub).

2.Aniplex Of America announced part of its cast for the English dub of the Durarara!! television anime series at its Otakon panel on Friday.

Celty: Kari Wahlgren
Mikado: Darrel Guilbeau
Shizuo: Crispin Freeman

3.Aniplex added that it will not be using the English Baccano! voice actors for the same characters in Durarara!!.

4.The first of three parts in the DVD release — which will include video-only anime episodes — will ship in January 2011.

What's so bad about this show getting a Dub? If you don't like the dub, you can always just stick to the Subtitle version. :S

No but dubs are so... my apologies, because some dubs are ok....

But the majority of dubs have really badly matched, over-used voice actors for our loved characters, and in the process of translating, they dim the language, and ineffectively represent the original meaning in most cases.

"Beez also confirmed that its previously announced Durarara!! release will have three sets consisting of eight or nine episodes (including any OVAs) and will cost £24.99 (about US$32.04) per set.

Release dates have yet to be announced." AnimeNewsNetwork

That's for the UK though.

Are all the DVDs your talking about of the episode that are already on Crunchyroll? What's the point of buying them on DVD? My computer screen is bigger than my TV at this point <.< lol.

WTB MOAR EPISODES. The anime is from the first 3 books i heard (although I can't tell because they don't sell them in engrish) but there are like 6-8 books now or something! Keep your DVDs, I want more SIMULCAST!

We would buy the DVDs because it's going to have a English Dub. Also, we will be supporting the series by buying the DVDs. Maybe a company will license the Light Novel and Manga.

Also, the Anime cover the first 3 Light Novels.

I hate living in Holland. It means missing out on the best anime merchandise out there.

@thedava, that just proves that you really don't know that for certain right? Because y'know what? You have NEVER heard a single english clip of Durarara!! be presented. You just presume they're bad

Well, no two acting is alike. I want to get the DVD, so that I support the industry. Getting stuff via animesuki or any other illegal site is disrespectful to the authors that did this series.

In otherwords, as they say in japanese; "KUDARAME!!"
