uhm..not all Filipinos have black skin..maybe the ones you saw were "Ita" or "Aeta" ..(search it if u wanna know more about it)

In fact..we have different kinds of ethnic groups and languages..the most common is Tagalog..there're also Ilocano,Cebuano,Bicolano,etc..

Mitochondrial DNA and fossil evidence indicates that modern humans originated in Africa about 200,000 years ago.

I don't know if many consider that as "enough", though.

I think people missed the point here. I think what the OP meant is the fact that everyone's ancestors are Blacks. And we're not talking just 1000-2000 years ago. We're talking 100,000-200,000 years ago. Correct me if I'm wrong though, OP.

Everyone decended from ancestors in Africa, as the latest genetic evidence points this out. However, if you look at a map of human migrations you'll see that humans migrated to the Philippines at least twice, very early on as part of the South Indian-New Guinea-Australian, etc.. group (phenotype Negrito ) and later as part of the Thai-Vietnamese-Southern Chinese, etc... group (phenotype Austronesian ).

The Philippines comprise 7,107 islands and numerous ethnicies, so to assume that all Filipinos should look the same is to assume that all Americans should look the same or that all Swiss should speak the same language. The real world exists and does its own thing independent of our preconceptions of what it should be doing.

the ancestors of fillipinos are the indonesians and indonesians are the mixed of southern asians (such as indian, nepalese etc) and eastern asians (like chinese, japanese and koreans)
thats why philippines, indonesia, thailand, malaysia and etc are in the category of south-eastern asia

well i dont want to go further/deeper into the origin of africans and white coz obviously the whole 'dark fillipinos' thing is just a matter of over exposed skin to sunrays (or tanned)

well that explains a few things..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJWAkjXOOZw&feature=player_embedded

wigger bashing aside..

heh.. can't help it..

The “ati” are historically or at least according to the “land bridge” theory came from AFRICA after the last ice age. before this country even became a country, way before Magellan got his ass killed on the shores of mactan, waaay waaay before the Chinese navigator/eunuch Cheng Ho and his massive junk fleet scoured the coastlines of palawan, lingayen and god knows where else in the Philippines for trade and commerce, waaaaaay waaaaaay waaaaaay before the bornean datus/political refugees came to panay. The nomadic “Ati” were already here.

the ati being the first settlers in an uninhabited land makes them filipinos according to constitution.

anyhoo.. According to legend/historical record… When the refugees from borneo came to the island of panay in big-ass outriggers/kadako-dako nga mga bangka the ati though wary of the slightly lighter skinned visitors, welcomed them with open arms and listened to their problems.

It turns out the datus want to settle down in Ati-landia. The ati king even though he is a dignified monarch in his own right is an imbecile and so is the woman he married/ati queen. he said: I shall give this land to you in exchange for your golden salakot (headdress) and upon hearing this the ati queen wanted something for herself also and gave her husband a quick jab between the ribs whilst eying the long pearl neklace of the bornean datu’s wife.. we all know she got her wish.

After the completion of the contract, it was immediately handed over to the bornean lawyers to be notarized and finalized. In other words… The case is closed and thus the legend of how the bornean datus conned the ati into selling their land for a dorky hat and gaudy neklace was born. Of course to be banal about the whole affair it was called “The barter of Panay”

fast forward to the future/reality.. majority of the filipinos today are indo-malay. majority may also claim european ancestry but that's just plain old colonial mentality/bullshit. we're culturally spanish but ethnically indo-malay. that's why we look just like our neighbors in southeast asia.
