Safety to an extent. I mean I don't want to be locked in an empty room for the rest of my life, but if its reasonable safety first.

It's hard to be enjoy freedom, if you are dead.

What, you wouldn't die for it?

I don't want to be safe and alive if I'm locked in a room with nothing to do all day long...but then on the other hand I won't experience any freedom if I'm dead either...But alive with no freedom...always being told what to do...heck, I'd rather die instead. So, my conclusion, Freedom > Safety

If I had the choice between keeping someone I care about alive/ out of danger or being free. I'd choose the safety. If I had a good chance at getting freedom and believed it was best decision, I'd take the risk.

Exactly. It all depends on the situation. I would still mostly want my freedom in the end though.

freedom.

i'd rather have 5 minutes to live to the fullest than eternity of boring average days that comes and go like a breeze. i'd rather be dead than being dead inside. being safe with no freedom is like being a bird in a cage. you live but you never know how to fly.

A good balance between the two. I want to be free but at the same time I want to be safe from those who threaten to take my freedom. In reality it's impossible to be completely free or completely safe.

quote from Benjamin Franklin:

"He who gives up freedom for safety deserves neither."

What a great quote.

Never give up your freedom for safety.
