Wow....seeing Mio like that was definitely worth it. And I seriously doubt they would end the entire Neuroi saga over this season. I mean it just seems like a weird set up when you have 3/4 of an entire season basically be filler-related stuff. Like it might be from the manga but.....I mean 3/4 of the season was just the Strike Witches just being themselves. No actual plot besides kill any Neuroi on site.

Can you image if Perrine had been the one on the receiving end of that kiss?

Most of the first series was much the same way, but by this point, we started to see elements that played into the finale. I would expect some type of finale, even if it is concentrated into two episodes, but whether the Neuroi problem will be "resolved" to the extent it was in the first series is another matter.

To be honest....I really have no idea what Perrine would do. I mean if the commander fainted....and she isnt even in love with Mio.....I really cant imagine what would happen to Perrine. Maybe a very long coma?

Well yea....there is going to be a finale since its practically the end of the season. But something tells me they arent going to FINISH finish the Neuroi. But hey I dont know.

Actually I think it wont be completely finished....Im pretty sure we almost HAVE to find out what happened to Miyafugi's father.

And speaking of her father....how the hell was he able to talk to Miyafugi when she got that new striker? I mean how the heck?

Im in the middle of watching episode 10....but I have a question on who is a higher rank. Barkhorn or Hartmann? I was always thinking Barkhorn was a higher rank than Hartmann....but so far this episode is giving me other impressions.

And can anyone actually list from highest rank to lowest rank in the Strike Witches unit?

Edit: Finished the episode. Its one thing to shoot down the same amount of Neuroi....its another thing when you both run out of bullets at the same time? Come on.

I dont think the Neuroi are going to be totally wiped out this season.

Checked Minna`s bio on MAL and it says: "The ranking officer of the 501st Joint Fighter Wing"
On Erica it says that she is an Flying Officer.
Trude has the rank as Flight Lieutenant.
So since Minna has the highest rank in the base, I`m gonna say that Erica has the highest rank out of those 2.

Ask Ken-chan on MAL, he knows alot on SW.

The little fight between Erica and Hnna was great :D

The Neuroi are actually wimps, they`re too easy for the witches to take down

I could have sworn one of the episodes this season had Minna call out everybody's ranks....and Barkhorn and Yeager were both called Captains

Edit: Yea, episode 5

Because they're the same rank doesn't mean that they don't have to listen to the other. The first person to achieve Captain has seniority over another Captain.

Thats fine and dandy....but what did I say have anything to do with what you said? I never said anything about Barkhorn taking orders from Yeager....or even if was the other way around? Or maybe you were talking about something else?

Then make one :P
It`s a good way to keep track of what you`re watching, at least if you watch like 20 animes at a time XD

Episode 11. So why the hell did the Yamato stop? I was thinking that Mio's sword got stuck in the Yamato and sucked all the power dry. And if thats the case then....way to fail Mio....but if thats not the case......then the Yamato stopped for some retarded reason and now the witches have to finish the job? *sigh*

And seriously....the navy has the technology to use Neuroification......but they cant beat the Neuroi....thats some retarded logic as well. Why dont they just make Neuroi humanoids and use them instead of the human Strike Witches. I mean seriously....regenerating Witches? Now thats a deadly combo

I just hope they give us a damn good reason as to why the Navy fails 24/7

Interesting theory (regarding Mio's sword draining the Yamato's magic engine).

Further on that point, what happened to the power it drained from Yoshika? We're talking about a girl that can generate a magic circle about half a kilometer in diameter, and a shield large enough to protect one of the largest battleships built in the early 20th century.

You did see the end of the first series, right? If so, that should answer your question. Or, as RoyalRaider put it:

As far as regenerating witches, that apparently couldn't happen. Note that the crew aboard the Yamato was totally unaffected. Either Neuroification only works on inorganic matter, or perhaps only machines.

Also, keep in mind one of the needed elements is an intact Neuroi core. Considering the only way to destroy a Neuroi is to destroy the core, I can't imagine there are too many of those available. They are likely as rare and difficult to obtain as enriched uranium in WW2, if not more.

It`s probably becaus of the sword.

But the Navy should try to use that Neuroi technology, they will just fail becaus it won`t be stable :P

The Witches are going to save the day of course, thats the reason why the navy always fails

At first I couldnt tell if there were even crew members on the ship.(couldnt tell if they were issuing commands on another ship)....since I would imagine that they could still die even if the ship regenerated.....like it wouldnt regen in time or something....but it wouldnt make sense to somehow remote control it so yea there had to be people on there.

But yea I should definitely take my comment back and I will right now. I guess I was just a little flustered with how only the Witches can ever defeat the Neuroi. And yea....the cores are probably super rare.

Well actually...if the Neuroi were created by the government or w/e....(At least this is how the Neuroi were created....coulda sworn it was said something along those lines in season 1).....couldnt they just make cores and stuff?

And on an REALLY random note. Everytime I went to sleep and dreamed about Strike Witches.....I always thought it would be cool if they had a 3rd season and had an actual main human villain who had magic powers but was able to absorb the Neuroi or whatever but ultimately become evil.....I guess I mighta been engrossed with that idea too.

I guess to sum it all up. I pretty much jumped the gun by a mile. Indeed what I said is quite stupid.

I guess I think if the Navy is able to use this type of technology.....(I mean heck they were the ones who created the Jet Strikers)........that they would be able to actually combat the Neuroi on the same level as Witches

But to come back to the question about Mio's sword and Yoshika;s magical power that got absorbed.....Im guessing that in order to use the True Reppuzan or whatever....it needs to have an EXTREME amount of Magical Energy.......and maybe Yoshika has it? Through it would seem odd that when Mio was in her prime.....couldnt master the True Reppuzan....I mean I would imagine she had a ton of magical power as well....and the sword absorbed almost all of it.....so how much would it need? Or maybe the sword just needs to be able to be wielded by a strong magic user in order to even have a chance at using it.

I have no idea. But considering how that Reppuzan sword is mentioned so many times....I bet that has to play a role in the final episode
