You can now watch some of your favorite CR anime through Microsoft's Zune Marketplace, one of the leading living room-based video services in North America that spans Xbox 360, Zune HD and Windows-based PCs. Zune will feature downloadable episodes from the titles listed below and each episode is priced for download-to-own on the Xbox and other Zune platforms and devices. I'm guessing I am not the target audience ... I'm already watching Giant Killing, so wouldn't need to download it to catch it out of reach if WiFi, I can get Haruhi DVD's from Netflix if I want to rewatch it on the go, and I had to look up the third title when I say the announcement on ANN. Thing with DRM downloads is they are not really download-to-own, they are more "download-to-lease-until-the-DRM-server-turns-off". I'd really only download to own something as a way to give a bit extra to the creators ... for instance, Aoi Hana or Sasameki Koto. And even then, I'd be reluctant to contribute revenues to Micro$oft along the way, so I'd wait until it is download to own on someone else's marketplace. Google's Android, f'rinstance - I'd be willing to get an Android tablet to view downloads.
