Yeah if you could say have xbox gold membership and CR Premium and just get SD, and maybe HD for the more popular shows, streaming along with the option to buy the episodes as a download, I would totally be into this.

I got really excited at first... now I'm sad... though buying some of my favorite eps wouldn't be so bad... and 2.50 an eps if it's airing every week isn't really to bad and I can take it to work to watch with my friends on my ZuneHD

Hoping for free downloads isn't gonna happen. This deal isn't specific for CR members; it's just that certain CR content is now being sold XBL. If you're a CR member, this isn't really for you unless you want to pay twice to watch shows. A dedicated streaming thing via the 360/PS3 would be cool for those who need it but I think stuff like that is quickly becoming irrelevant as more and more laptops and netbooks start to come with HDMI (audio and video on one cable) output.

Like many posters, I thought. "Hey! Cool!" when I saw the headline. Then I read the announcement, and realized it was pointless.

Xbox Zune, or PSN downloads are crippled by DRM. Thus, they are not work $2 an episode. I've only ever bought some anime when the price was $0.99 per episode. Even then, it's not really worth it. I only paid that much because I had already seen the show via some not quite legitimate methods, and wanted to give back a bit.

If you want me to buy DRM crippled videos, make the price reasonable. $0.75 or less. Otherwise I'll just get what I want other ways, and buy dvd's when they reach decent prices. Contrary to your beliefs, entertainment is not worth much. Especially when the illegal stuff is better quality than the legal stuff. I'm willing to pay for what I want to watch, but I'm not willing to be forced to jump through hoops that I can avoid.

I strongly suggest you create streaming apps for the Xbox, PS3, and Wii. That would increase the number of people willing to pay for a membership to get their shows on their tvs. I know that I'd be far more likely to retain my membership longer if you did that. As it is, when the budget gets tight, CR is the first to go.

Where will this be available, sounds like just America for now?

My pc has been down for over a month now, & I've been watching CR in HD the whole time from my PS3's webbrowser. ( Where I'm typing this from as well... ) Zune is seemingly pointless to me... If u own a PS3, try it... I kid u not...

What's with the horrible, horrible subs? D: If you're going to sell this, why not make the subs at least somewhat properly looking? Heck, hire a fansubber for all it's worth. Because those subs were just so...so...bleh (Oh yeah, just so there aren't any misunderstandings, I'm complaining about the yellow and black stroke text in the Haruhi subs, not about the quality of the translation).
