Well currently I am writting this post from work. I work at the Geek Squad as a tech. This job sucks, but what can you do when your only 18 and the economy sucks. Anyways I was curious about how everyone elses job is going for them and if you guys do anything intresting there? The other day I actually had to transfer 900 GB of porn and the day before that someone threatened to kick my ass because they bought an anti virus program from Bestbuy and I was going to charge them to remove the virus he had gotten. I do many things at my job to pass the time besides work because all work and no play make Jack a dull boy. Anyways at work I listen to classical music and often play pranks on other GS members(harmless pranks nothing serious). So what is your job like and what happens on at your work?

lol dude you work at bestbuy and you're complaining?

in MY job (or my previous job) I was a boxboy at this grocery store where I had to do manual labor along with some illegal mexicans. Pushing heavy grocery carts all day long under the hot california sun, and then afterwards bagging the customers groceries for hours on end. You tend to make more mistakes in bagging their groceries after hours of manual labor and if you do, the customer gets mad and the manager gets mad. Honestly, I can't think of a worse job than mine other than maybe strawberry picking or a gay pornstar

I work in Game Station, we sell games. Work behind the till and assist anyone who needs help, people who need help are usually Mothers or Grandmas who buy games for their spoiled kids and don't have a clue.

This one time a woman came in and literally played a guessing game with me "I'm looking for this game, its been out for about 3 months, its on something called um...Live? and its got shooting men in it."

I was just like ".... Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2?" and she went "YES!"

Thats my job it pays the Uni bills

GAME STATION! one of my favourites stores ^^

God....I work at a Travelodge hotel near a Disneyland. I work at the front desk.

Some guests are sooo....ugh. Here are a few bad ones:
1. A lady came in at around 10 at night, raging about how there was no ironing board in her room even though the brochure said there would be one. We told her the maintenance people were gone and that they would deliver a board to her in the morning, but she just continued to curse and yell. There were other guests present, including several young children. Geez, it's just an ironing board.

2. A guest called to ask for a plunger, but since we are at the front desk, we can't leave, so I explained to the guest that he had to come down to the office to get it himself. He comes in complaining about my attitude and my tone of voice. I didn't even say anything bad to him, I just said "Sir, since we work alone at the front desk, we are not allowed to leave. I'm afraid you'll have to come pick up the plunger yourself."

Did that really sound all that awful?

3. A woman who rented about a billion rooms (6 rooms I think) came in to pay for her rooms before leaving. She used different credit cards and wanted to pay with cash as well, in all sorts of strange ways. It was hard to divide everything up according to what she wanted. But then she got IMPATIENT. I was like wtf you're the one with 9000 credit cards and cash and you're telling me to split all this crap. I didn't really say that though.

LoL, the most frustrating part about any job, we seem to agree, is doing something right, getting treated like you're wrong and some other villain getting your hero's trophy.
Tell me all about it.
I write music and though I'm also into producing, performing and pitching (marketing not baseball), it's the writing of the music that brings in the money for me.
It's nice working with established artists or scoping the general audience an artist might have, but for once I would love not to be censored and have the actual artist or my vision be represented without it being the view of a moneyscheme.

Unrealistic expectations are also a big annoyance. A lot of customers don't seem to be able to put themselves in our shoes. We aren't robots lol

my job hey

well i work at a carp wrapping/lettering bussiness (sorry don;t know how it's called in english)

we also designe websites, bussiness cards, flyers, brochures, banners and posters
also we make frames that hold up the banners

I'm at the design team but sometimes i help with wrapping a car (that means when a customer wants his entire care wrapped in a new collor it's not an easy job it takes 3 to 5 people so that the sticker wont get all bubbly.

but lately i clean more dishes than actually design or wrap something and i am thinkin of quiting i was hired as a designer not some cleaner but then they complain if some flyer or folder is not done

hey hello you are the ones that asked me to clean the freakin toilet and kitchen dumbasses

like today:

I was ordered to clean a van that was gonna get some carbon stickers on it

So i did that the thing was squickie clean when you whiped a white tissue over it the tissue was still nice and clean.
the person who was left in charge (who is a major dick) came down said it was not clean he could see the dirt from upstairs.

so i clean the freakin van for a second time just to please him but hey something what is clean can not be cleaned again.

after the second whipe he came downstairs again telling (and yellign this time) that it was still not clean and then he whiped his finger over it and his finger was clean but he kept saying that he could see a lot of dirt on it

so i said do you have super vision or something because your finger is clean not to mention it smells lemony fresh

the he yelled some more and said go clean it again and i don;t want to hear from you until it's finnished

so when i started for the third time geuss what happend
the red collour of the van started to show on my cloth
Yes this was the prove the van was clean and could not get cleaner or i would damage the collour

so i told him that he could go and explain the customer why there was a strange collor difference on the side of the van.
And if i found out he blamed me for it he could find his car in a different collor too

i packed my bags en left

explained everything to the boss and he was fully behind me

I'm a lifeguard and water safety instructor, I teach kids how to swim and save people from drowning, as well and provide first aid when neede.

If I'm not in the water teaching I pretty much spend most of my day in the guard chair telling people not to run... it's a whole load of fun
