Ok so everyone I'm dead tired of flash, honestly. I hate it, hate it, hate it! So, I was wondering, who would totally go for a standalone Crunchyroll Video player? It would obviously have to have more features than the flash player, and I think would be all around less buggy. Come on everyone if enough of you like the idea maybe they will implement it!!

For the sake of all that is good in anime, YES!!

Anything to improve that turdtastic video player we have to deal with now!

Something like the DivX online player that's a separate app on it's own that plays HQ streams without a hint of lag? Something like that? Oh hell yeah, I'd be all for it.

You can even get the stand one music player working, and your adding more trash when yuo can't even get the first one done right?

The only problem with a stand alone application is that you have to code it for OSX, Windows and Linux (and others now) but it would be nice. Maybe move to HTML5 but yet again this causes issue with people that use IE not being compatible. but it would also help people on their Iphone or other mobile device not needing a separate application. So it seems like yes moving away from flash is a good idea (i too hate it with a passion) but sadly it is the best thing out at them moment that runs on everything with out forcing people to change (although they do need flash installed(but who doesn't these days)).
A move to HTML5 would be great to see and would be fully possible when IE gets updated to include this (also when the language matures more)

@Shinigami_tom
Who cares about people who use IE? Using IE should be illegal. Not to mention I would still prefer a standalone app anyways.

@tarakelly
Your problem sounds like a bkc error to me. Not to mention music on a profile page is not an important feature. I could give a crap less about profile music.

Lets see.. who would care... people that want their site to grow / allow all parties to access it regardless of where they are.

I know you might prefer a standalone app but it does not mean it is a better solution. what advantages does a standalone app bring over a webpage? it is much easier to update and look after a webpage and you would have so many more user problems with a standalone application.

The truth is you will never see Crunchyroll bring out a standalone app.
(yes i do know there is an iphone app)

Ok Mr Psychic if you can't even fathom the potential advantages of a standalone app there is no point in me even bothering with you.
