CREATOR AND MODERATORS ONLY.

As you know, Snapshot Signatures highly values communication. It is very important that we all discuss group matters with one another here, because things can get really mixed up if we aren't all updated with the group. For example, if one moderator intends to do something that may conflict another moderator's ideas and they aren't communicating their intentions with each other, that could cause some mix-ups in this group that would be hard to untangle smoothly. Feel free to explain your ideas here, and we'll vote on approval or disapproval. Now I would like to individually address each of the moderator types on current affairs.

SPECIAL EFFECTS CREW:

Monthly newsletter: Positive. Name is SS Heartbeat; 5/5 approvals! It will have a standard size for every issue. It will be one whole image but sliced so that some portions of the image can be links. In correspondence to our monthly theme change, it'll also be made and distributed monthly, consisting of these tentative sections: theme description, regular reminders, and updates. Freebies will come with the newsletter. The beginning of the newsletter will be introduced with the Photograph of the Month (POTM), which will be chosen from a selection of photos submitted by members. The photo will pertain to the theme's concept.

Newsletter freebies: Positive. The month of November freebies will be related to the theme of Nature. There will be one avatar, one banner, and one icon. Tiffany, you do the avatar, Ody, you do the banner, and Wall-E, you do the icon. Text on the avatar and banner must say "Nature", and in a pixel font, put "freebie complements of Snapshot Signatures" and then your copyright. For the icon, do the same, except instead of "freebie complements of Snapshot Signatures, put "freebie by Snapshot Signatures" (to shorten it, since it's an icon and will be small) and then your copyright.
PM the graphics to me when you're done!
Tiffany's and Wall-E's freebies received, Ody's pending. // The newsletter has been sent out. Loneodyssey has failed to complete the assignment, so I had no choice but to make the banner myself.

Photo Alteration Contest: Positive. You are in charge of creating the prizes when the winners are decided.

Photo-Uploading Contest: Positive. You will make the prizes, which are freebies, for the sole winner of this contest.

Request thread: Tentative. 1/3 & 1/3 approvals and disapprovals, respectively. Loneodyssey's vote pending. If we do decide to start one, it shouldn't be just any request thread; it could possibly be a request thread that relates to this group's concept somehow.

EVENT MANAGERS:

Forum games: Positive. Each of you Event Managers are required to create one forum game at the current moment. Make sure you forum game follows the correct format, as mentioned at this forum post. 2 out of 2 completed forum game assignments.

Photo-Uploading Contest: Positive. The person who contributes to the group most in terms of photo-uploading will win the contest. The prizes will be freebies. There is no tentative date for the start of this contest until further notice.

Scenery Photo Contest: Positive. It will take place after the Photo-Uploading Contest.

Monthly newsletter: Tentative. Since there are no Designated Drivers at this time and I haven't given you anything to do yet, you may have to do some newsletter distributing.

DESIGNATED DRIVERS:

Monthly newsletter: Positive. You will distribute this monthly newsletter to all the members every month. You must maintain an updated list of group members for this purpose. I was thinking that you could do the distribution during the first two weeks of the month; you don't have to do it all at once. For example, you can do the first half of the alphabetical members the first week and the second half the next week, or you could do the first half of the older members the first week and the second half of the newer members the next week. I will need screen captures of your outbox to see that you are doing your job.

Okay, so, Event Managers. Start discussing what the prizes for the first-placer and the second-placer of the upcoming Photo-Uploading Contest should be. Be specific.

Okay then. Request thread is tentative. Oh, there's a new member on the Special Effects Crew, loneodyssey, or Ody/Iku. Get to know each other! Oh, and if we do the newsletter, we can't do it yet until we get some Designated Drivers, who will distribute the newsletter to all of the members.

Nice to meet you guys! I hope we can work cooperatively!
The newsletter seems interesting.
So is it going to be one whole image or an image but with some typed in text below?

I'm sure we'll all get along. I had one whole image in mind, a job specifically for the Special Effects Crew. Like all newsletters, there will be sections in the image, talking about different updates in the group and so-and-so. What do you propose the sections to be? Any ideas? Also, what should the newsletter be called?

maybe if we just post the newspaper on the profile it would be easier instead of sending it to everyone.
maybe we should call it: The SS Times or something like that

The purpose of the newsletter is to use the updates to attract people to our group. If we just leave it on the profile, then those in the group who aren't regular visitors won't be updated with the group or be prompted to come. The SS Times sounds like a decent name. But I'm open to more suggestions. Also, I think the newsletter should be distributed monthly. We could start out with a description of our theme, that is, if we plan to change our theme monthly.

@Hima: Hm, okay then. Our theme can be changed monthly.

@Ody: SS Weekly and Snapshot Weekly is ruled out if we're not going to make the newsletter every week. It's probably asking of too much of you guys [you and Tiffany (-Succubus-)] to make a new newsletter every week. And at this rate, we probably won't have many updates weekly. So in correspondence to our monthly theme change, the newsletter can also be distributed monthly.

Oh, and, Tiffany and Ody. Discuss whether you want to (somehow) work on each and every newsletter together or alternate back and forth in the monthly making of the newsletter. As for the content of the newsletter, you guys aren't in charge of that; we'll all work together on it.

While all of you have been thinking about what the name of the newsletter should be, I was thinking about what the sections of the newsletter should be. First, we'll introduce the theme description. Just a little paragraph, summary, or story about our theme. Maybe how it came to be our theme, maybe not. Second, we'll make the regular reminders to accept the terms and conditions, apply for their SSID, maybe make some suggestions in the forum thread, participate in the contest, etc. Third, we'll talk about what's new in the group. Updates, basically. And I'm still thinking of the rest.

Ever hate it when newsletters aren't user-friendly? And how they want you to visit their group, but don't provide a smooth navigation to the group or around the group? For example, some newsletters prompt you to visit their group, but they don't make the image of the newsletter into a link. Then you have to glance around the newsletter, hoping to find a trace of their group's name somewhere, so that you could painstakingly type it into your search bar and then hit enter.

I don't want our newsletter to be like that. I want our newsletter to be user-friendly and provide easy means of navigation. Yes, that means links. So I've changed my mind about the newsletter being one image. It could be a mixture of hyperlink text and images. So for example, we could put a simple hyperlink text saying Step 1: Terms and Conditions or we could make an image of that and then code it into a link. I'm still thinking about how we should do it, whether in text links or image links. If we did it in image links, sure, it'd be prettier, but we'd have to make sure it'd fit well onto the PM.

More thoughts later.

Hmm we could cut the image. Meaning, we'll have some seperate images from the main image. The portion of the image, for example, that says "Step 1: Terms and Conditions", would be cut and then coded to link it to the thread. Then a new image will be placed under that image.(The continuation from the main image)

For example, our group's main profile image(the first one).

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. One whole image, but sliced so that some portions of it could be links.
