Man, why do you have to wait so much... I mean, It's 6 years of med, plus your specialization, I'll graduate neuro when I'm 32 if everything goes alright... and I feel I'll be old as hell then. I admit, most of my classmates got in at their 2nd, or 3rd try, and most of them are 20-23 yo, but still... man, I can see how desperate you must be.... that system kinda sucks a bit... LOL Well, if they're your friends then however you treat them it's up to you, I also like to mess with some girls from time to time, like that one time I put an ice cub between one's breasts... it was freaking hilarious, but I got hit with a Moore's Anathomy on the head... totally worth it. LOL but yeah, still, try to show some more courage, I'm 100% sure none of your classmates either want or would dare to hurt you, you're in med school now, and even if people feel a bit unprofessional or the sort (just look at me, for Madoka's sake), they're all there because they're going to be doctors, and they know serious time has to be serious to a certain degree, no sane person plays around with needles, is what I'm saying, except for me, I play with scalpels all the time, but I'm skilled enough to not hurt anyone in the process... LOL as for the studying, well, I read lying face down and with the book over my bed, just like teenage girls do on T.V., LOL but well, at least you exercise your arms a bit while holding it. As for your studies, well, it's just that most people get desperate at first because they're just basic sciences, I'm done with all that stuff now, so that's why I told you. Now it's all clinical application, so it's lots and lots of fun.I'll tell you something that is inevitable, once you get to where I am (halfway through my second year, there's 45% left of the people who entered school with me, but seeing as you're going through it without much effort, you'll be alright ;) mot: ![]() |

LOL Well, it's actually 4 years of medical school here in the US. Afterwards there are 3-6 years of residency depending on what field you specialize in. So, if I do get in to a medical school on my first try, I should be a practicing doctor by 30 at the latest. Of course, that relies on me getting in on the first try and that will take a lot of work for the next two years.... ------- ![]() |

Of course, that relies on me getting in on the first try and that will take a lot of work for the next two years.... Med-school is also 4 years here, however, to actually graduate, you need to complete a year of internship (where you're treated like shit, working shifts of 36 straight hours, and basically live in the hospital) in order to know how things work in the hospital or something like that, and a year of social service where you work for free (they only give you food and the basic needs) for you to return the favor to the country for making you a doctor (it is because most of the best universities are public, meaning free). So it all adds up to 6 years for your M.D. I said 8 years because I'm aiming for neurosurgery, which is 4 years of general surgery residency and 4 of neurosurgery, but yeah, most specializations are 4-6 years as well... and that's why all doctors are old. LOL but yeah, you'll get in at your first try. You just have to prepare yourself enough so that you won't be nervous. mot: ![]() |
