So there was a comment on sankaku(I'm not sure if people use this site), that said most anime harem leads are gay...

I'm actually staring to believe this, if you think about it, there is no reason why all these women just flock to one guy. Then if the guy is homosexual then all the girls just feel more at ease, this logic somewhat applies.

I have seen plenty of harems there are only a few that have had the balls to actually do something.

All the harems I watch now, I say to myself " just fuck her seriously"

Take this with a grain of salt, this was mostly a joke.

The best harem animes are the ones where the studio actually made an effort to make the show interesting while finishing with a legitimate choice at the end of the anime, rather than I DUNNO WHO I WANT bullcrap. Think of it...clannad, shuffle, toradora, etc.

Since most of them are adapted from VNs, it's hard to create a coherent story that actually covers all of the routes decently while ending up with a single end route. Due to the difficulty in putting this together for the studios, some just don't. That's when they suck.

These days to be any good at all its either
1. make it a drama anime where the guy actually makes a choice
2. make it a comedy anime where the goal is not relationship development but its chilling with a bunch of interesting girls

The ones where they try to do drama but no real choice is made makes me want to punch the makers of it at the end of the series.

I honestly don't see Toradora as a Harem.

its got all the standard harem needs...at least 3 girls that hit on the main guy (even if just messing around), support character guy that is foreveralone, you name it...

it's a bit more subtle though due to the fact it came form a light novel, not a VN.

but Kitamura isn't forever alone.
remember the council pres? yes she went to America, but I think it's obvious that she likes Kitamura as much as he does, so I'm sure that given enough time they will be together. I mean after that Taiga more or less gave up on being with Kitamura and turned her focus to helping Ryuuji.
I think the only alones are Minorin and Chihuahua, who could easily have each other for a yuri pairing and thus the main group all has someone.

----unrelated----

just started reading a rather new manga

Butter!!!

you have Natsu, an energetic girl who loves Hip-Hop and wants to learn Hip-Hop dance
and Haba, a young man who would rather not be bothered by others

both having entered high-school it is time to join a club. Natsu signs up for a dancing club while Haba gets unwillingly signed into a club by a guy who has been picking on him since childhood

but the club they end up in is.....

I've read 4 chapters so far, and I gotta say I am enjoying it.

so I have 2 questions for you guys

what experiences with dance have you had so far?

and

have you enjoyed said experiences?

He's foreveralone for the length of the show, which is what is usually the case. Most of the typical support character guys get into a relationship later after the anime or one that is just starting to develop near the end. (itsuki with mayumi in shuffle, kyousuke and kei in ef: a tale of memories, just off the top of my head...)
