Let's see what I love so much about the digital age.
- I have a pretty reasonable size for my office/gaming/personal space. It's just four white wall with a window and some mass produced "modern art" pieces hanging, and that's the way I like it- modern minimalist.
- I apply pretty much the same with my habits to pretty much everything else: solid colors, a lot of space, and simple designs without too much tacky-ness sticking out.
- The most Anime related thing I own is that Saber nendoroid and a Hello Kitty pen/pencil of which I can't remember the origin of now or the location of. I barely own DVDs, VHSs, CDs and such physical media pertaining to just movies, live action or Anime. Most of the discs that I do own are my games. Though, if I could rid of them all together with digital media in some digital cloud, I would be so happy.
- I love, LOVE, how streaming digital media and cloud storage have improved these past couple of years, and they are just going to improve in the next couple of years. Netflix, HULU, and crunchyroll are just dandy. Additionally, they are on the cheap. In tandem with 3G/4G data, accessing to various music playlists and radio streams doesn't even take much space on my mobile device.
- I'm not a fan of downloading and torrenting episodes. Plus, there's the time and not so much effort but still effort of finding seeding and taking up a lot of hard drive space. This part of the digital age is all about convience and instant gratification with the point and click, and I do somewhat abide by that and don't mind paying a not so expensive premium for the service- clean, cheap, and fast.

You know that I'm not a collector. I'm probably polar opposite to the people who buy and own Anime stuff while liking Anime. I just did this little bit to show a bit of contrast to the buyers and collectors here with someone like me, a media minimalist. I probably have the least proposed "Anime fan mentality" here. Seriously, my hard drive is pretty much cleared of Anime stuff such as pictures, music, and such: 0 bytes on episodes, 0 bytes on music, and like 2MB of images because I have some images that I haven't posterized yet.

The reason to why I do this is because I just watch and listen to enjoy, and then I move to the next thing. I don't like the idea of keeping things that will collect dust that I'll probably never ever open again until like several of years later. I rarely want nor need some kind of physical manifestation of things I like watching because I feel that my disconnect lets me enjoy newer things without looking back too much and comparing. I got the experience already, so let's try maybe something of a variation and maybe different.

Basically, you can basically fit all the Anime stuff I have in this empty space here, yes, even including the Saber nendoroid:



































Hey, this is just me. There's no spite to anybody here who collects and such. I just wanted to share the other side of the coin of Anime Otakuness, Fandom, or whatever people want to call it. So there's my show off. "LAWL"

Well I'm the polar opposite to zendude on this mainly due in part that the internet is still a luxury for me not a necessity. I can not rely on it no where near as much as having the actual disc for a movie or a game because it does go down time to time and streaming servers go down. I really need to think more on this.. however this is some of my collection.

There's not enough Bodacious; there's not enough Fatina; there's not enough Kiddy Grade; there's not enough of Rio; there's not enough stuff with Lucy. Now, I'm finding out that there's not enough of the freckled beauty that is the female knight due to the pattern of the show and how the fanart are being churned out. "STILL_SAD_LAWL"

I will say at this point of my life that the internet is a necessity because that how I run my hustle and make money. I have internet everywhere I go. That's how important it is to me. I wouldn't say like water, but it's pretty damn important when I have to pay for the water. "LAWL"

ANIME AND MANGA COLLECTING!!

I'm pretty much on the mentality of buying what I like, since the internet can be shaky and stuff can always happen with my computer given the luck I have(not like disks can't be broken but you know what I mean) I store some things on a flashdrive, but its all for light Novel PDFs and thats for when I know I can't buy the series I want here (in otherwords alot of Index, some Durarara and stuff on Hyouka and Kore wa Zombie that was already animated XD)

Besides since I want to go into the industry of animation and comics(possibly) anyway, I think haveing a collection would be cool, shelves upon shelves of former inspiration and reference. the thing that'll suck is when I have to move...but I'll be prepared for it.

WoW I am surprised someone besides me still has a Genesis and Game Gear, Sadly tho I can't play my Genesis right now cause my brother got pissed at Sonic and broke the controler, But I play my Game gear often.

I'm going back to my little bit there, and say that I do like buying stuff for myself. I have this sort of gear lust for my set ups. Plus, I have a bunch of hats, shoes, and clothes. As much as I like to buy things, I like to donate stuff too to make space and buy more stuff after that. Plus, there's donating some cash to people in need to balance things out. I don't only collect I also repair and mod systems for extra money but that's what I do.

@Zendude I can understand if that's your job but I'm at poverty level poor. I do rely on the internet for my entertaiment which is why I will not give up my broadband connection to enjoy netflix, crunchy-roll and live-streaming. For me having a collection or having some material items at least makes me feel less like a fool for not having job or college degree lawl.
Now I do love 2 for deals :3

To jump on the bandwagon, I only have a bookcases worth of anime stuff, some manga, anime dvds and a few cosplay bits. Nothing to really get exited over.
