After a quick search, gay vampires have been around at least since the 70s in movies, maybe not the stars, but at least around. Plus, it's not like I follow any of those vampire shows on HBO, Showtime, or any of the non-cable networks. I see promos for those shows around the internet and occasionally during the few times I watch the CW. Actually, there should probably be tons of "adult" films that have gay & lesbian vampires.

Werewolves of the homosexual persuation, on the other hand... um, after googling, are to be found more in written form than television and movies.
