I don't drive, and games.... meh there are 3 I want atm though (MG Rising ,Atelier Ayasha, and DW7e) but I have a large enough backlog as it is lol.

Yea. If I was not some much a minimalist, I would buy physical media more, but it's not my style. Well, this little stream service experiment like crunchyroll, FUNi, and the really sucky TAN seem to be the future of Anime everywhere else that isn't Japan. The bricks and mortar approach just can't keep up and just decaying, but there's still a market for it even if it is on the fringe. "Adapt or die" and such and such.

For the whole Anime industry, I'm sure that there is this kind of silver bullet that will just help everyone benefit in the industry and open up the licenses and rights a bit more for everyone. Though, it's a business not a charity, so it's understandable that survival is priority.

Well, I'm interested on what happens next in the industry. It'll be fun to see what they think up. Hopefully, they have good timing and willing to be a bit more open with their next business models.

Though at the end of the day, you just want to pour a glass of wine, open up a bag of beef jerky, get comfortable on your couch with a nice blanket, open up your big screen TV, and watch some blonde under-age girl with big ole tats travelling with a pink hair guy and a talking blue cat because that's want you want to do. there is a new stream upcoming (directly from japan) that should have a similar style to crunchyroll, with probably more, but older anime.
you can google daisuki (i think it is ".net"), but the page feels like a placeholder at the moment.
