I don't usually speak up with these things, but maybe 'tis time for me to state some stuff... I agree with you, in everything, but man, calm down... most of the power of your character comes from the fact that you've achieved Nirvana... it is your neutral "nothing gets to me, and I'm always chill" attitude what makes everyone see up to you the way we (I include myself because something) look up to you. I know why you're angry, I've been in similar situations myself, but that's not you, that's not the way you state your business.



as for that... man, I learned this lesson the very hard way, but most of the fight is won in the decision if it's worth to have a fight in the first place. There are times when sitting down and playing along is the best way to take problems on. I don't say it's good to be submissive, but sometimes the stakes are too high and the price either small or null. The new rules and the snipering suck, I admit. I love ponies, and I loved some of the links people shared here, but the "essence" of what we do here is still there. We come here, chat about anime, life, people's weirdness and whatnot, and post posters of what we believe in, or what we are feeling, or to make people laugh, or just for the heck of it, because that's the essence of any art. The restrictions suck, yes, but we can do fine with them, and seriously, is it really worth it to fight for them like that if the most likely outcome would be to lose the thread altogether? Not to mention that you're fighting the wrong way for that method, which is the wrong method. The best thing to do here is to keep playing along with the mods, keep doing our business, and not rant about anything, so that when something actually unfair happens, we'll have that as an argument to play with, and we'll have the mods on our side.
Now, personally, I'm a medical student, and part of the university's (american) football team, and I work really hard for both of those things. My very little free time, I use it for helping people with their personal problems, acting as a consultant. Where I'm going with this is that I live a really stressful life, and this place is the only thing that keeps my sanity inside of my skull, it is the only where I don't have to play any character but myself, and it is the only place where I don't have to work... just chill, and talk to people I've grown fond of over the more than 2 years I've been here... so yea, this place means a lot to me, I don't think I could forgive anyone for shutting it down. let alone for a childish and selfish reason like "the rules are unfair".
