So, I just wanted to ask,

What are your recommended anime to watch:
1. This season,
2. Last season,
3. All-time?

Also, what american shows are you watching/ have like?
I'd also like to download some of those, and if you've watched movies lately, gimme the names of some you really liked.

It's more or less because I have a good connection for the next month, so I want to stock up on as many anime and shows as I can.

Kinda late, but:

1. I haven't started anything new this season...
2. Space Brothers, I really like Space Brothers for some reason. Jinrui (Humanity Has Declined) was fun, I'd recommend it. TariTari and Kokoro Connect were up there too. And I assume you're already watching SAO.
3. Black Rock Shooter (both the OVA and the Series).

Oh, also the new Hunter X Hunter is pretty awesome (I've never seen the original, nor have I read the manga but the recent episodes are pretty darn intense.)

As for "American Shows" I'm going to have to side with Zen and say "Dexter" even though I've only seen about a season and a half of it (I think it was the last half of season 5 and all of season 6, not sure lol). "Chuck" was pretty good for the first two seasons, but we stopped getting cable at our house, so I kinda dropped it. I saw a few episodes of a later season (3 or 4) and I could tell that it wasn't the same, so kinda iffy.

Also, I watched "Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn" over the weekend, it was awesome!
Idk if it's region restricted or anything, but it's on YouTube and I highly recommend it.
Now I kinda wish the movie that they had planned all those years ago would come back to life...

Thanks!

I watched an ep or two of Space bros...was a bit too mature-ish, I guess...that's how I'd put it (or kinda boring, if I'm being more blunt.) I might watch it completely someday maybe. Jinrui is just WEEEEEIIIIRRDDD. But it's on my watch list. Dl-ing Tari Tari and Kokoro, those were really fun.

I might check out HxH...might have to dump stuff into ext. HDD though, my F: drive is filled up, now I'm dumping stuff into C: and there's only around 100GB left... (and I don't want to fill up C: at all if I can help it)
MOT in a bit

Okay, with the election here in the US, and all the negative energy it's creating, I think it's time to do a patriotic song to get our spirits up. Who's with me?

I've chosen "The House I Live In" because it uses a lot of visual imagery we can have fun with. Specifically, the Sam Cooke cover http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYZKBrsMVAw as while the Paul Robeson version is the original classic, it's also a lot more political.

And here's the lyrics, for those who like to keep track: next line is "a street".

The house I live in,
a plot of earth,
a street;
the grocer
and the butcher
and the people that I meet,
The children in the playground,
the faces that I see
all races,
all religions,
that's America to me.

The place I work in,
the worker at my side,
the little town or city
where my people lived and died;
the howdy and the handshake,
the air of feeling free,
the right to speak my mind out,
that's America to me.

The things I see about me,
the big things
and the small.
the little corner newsstand
and the house a mile tall;
the wedding
and the churchyard,
the laughter
and the tears,
the dream that's been a-growin' for a hundred fifty years.

The town I live in,
the street,
the house,
the room;
the pavement of the city
or a garden all in bloom,
the church,
the school,
the clubhouse--
the million lives I see,
but especially the people...
that's America to me!

Have fun!
