Click to show or hide On November 31st, I believe, after a fight between Aigis and Ryoji at a bridge (please forgive me, my memory of this is overall fuzzy), Ryoji reveals to everyone (in the main party) that he is the avatar of Nyx, the embodiment of death, and the harbinger of the Fall, an event which marks the end of human civilization (more like an event which destroys humanity in its entirety). Throughout this time, he insists to the main characters that stopping Nyx and the Fall is impossible and, as a friend, he gives them an option. He proposes that they kill him. Doing so would erase their memories of Tartaros and the Dark Hour and allow them to live the remainder of their lives in ignorance of the impending Fall so that they can die painlessly when it happens. He also mentions that killing him won't really hurt him as he will come back when the Fall starts. He gives them one month to allow them to contemplate the alternative. One month (adequately described in the video as the most boring and eventless month of the game) passes and Ryoji returns to hear their decision. However, the cast still insists on letting him live and wants to attempt to fight Nyx. At this point, Ryoji turns to you, the MC, and leads you back to your room where he remembers his time as being a part of you (not gonna explain this one) and then makes YOU chose what to do. If you decide to kill him, then you trigger the BAD END flag. You all die in ignorance of the Fall. If you let him live, he transforms into the Persona Thanatos from the beginning of the game and attempts to convince you to kill him though disgust. However, the MC (you) insists on letting him live. As a result of your tenacity, he gives you the time at which Nyx will begin the Fall and tells you that if you want to fight Nyx that you have to be at the top of Tartaros on that day's Dark Hour. At that point, he bids his final farewells to the group and departs saying that that was their final meeting. Please forgive me if any of this is wrong as my memory IS kinda shaky on this as it has been a few years since I have played this.

In 3 days, on November 19th, a certain light novel ranking list will be released Based on the line for the SAO merchandise at AFA2012 (according to people on other forums) as shown in the spoiler code below Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide It looks like everything which isn't SAO is fighting for second, which REALLY pisses me off. Here's to hoping that To Aru Majutsu no Index can hold on to at least second place. SAO is starting to get WAY TOO OVERHYPED in my opinion. Worst of all, the fans are starting to get WAY TOO HUGE an ego.... Any ideas about this?

Well in my opinion SAO Project Alicization is pretty good so I think it deserves a high ranking. On the other hand TAMNI NT had so much epic in the last volume. In any case It's probably because SAO has an anime that it will take first place. Should be okay since it's been some time.
