Mind you no online game is like TES and Fable, period. In any case there's plenty who do have some rpg elements. For those that are out currently I'd recommend: Allods: Online Vindictus Rappelz Aion (going f2p February) Rusty Hearts Perfect World International Forsaken World For upcoming. (confirmed for a NA/EU release: ) ArcheAge (this is the most flexible mmorpg ever, trust me) C9 aka Continent of the Ninth Tera Online

A prepurchase will get you a beta code to play in betas. The amount of players participating in the beta is ridiculous. It's a great game so far and I can't wait for launch. For now I'm playing Diablo 3 and so far, a blast. Although Diablo 3 isn't an MMO compared to others.

Well if so, try out something like Maplestory, World of Warcraft, Runescape, or maybe even Star Wars: The Old Republic. I REALLY wouldn't recommend Guild Wars 2 though, I've played it along with a group of my friends and we were VERY disappointed with the beta. It truly isn't as good as people say.

That being said, try WoW, it's alot more newb friendly then it used to be, but it is still quite fun from my perspective. It has millions of players A great storyline (Especially if you follow it from W1 and onwards) Newb friendly A diverse selection of Races and Classes Fun high end content such as Raiding and PvP (Although, I prefer PvP because beating a computer doesn't give me a sense of achievement) Leveling is alo fun (In my own opinion) Great graphics A new expansion coming out containing drunk pandas (I mean, seriously!) Overall I believe it to be a great game, and well worth the money I spend on it.
