I have been working on a story about a serial killer lately. The narrator is the main character. It is about why and how the serial killer became a serial killer. Jack the main character goes through many problems in his life and how he takes it out on others.

This is a story about one of the most terrible and ruthless serial killers. His name is Jack and I will tell you the story of his life. This is not a story of love and joy, but a story of pain and hate. This is how he became what most consider being crazy and monstrous. I will let you in on a secret though. He did what some wanted to do, what most dare not do. He did it with a passion and I did it well.
When he was younger he had the life of a normal child. He was loved and was fascinated with the world around him and his family was not much different from many others of that time period. In the time period he grew up most kids were raised by women only. He had his grandfather though. He was the only father figure he ever knew in his life and he was a man that wanted to give his family the world. His grandmother and grandfather were separated so he had a step grandmother and step grandfather. They both loved him like he was their own. Jack couldn’t ask for much more, but he always wanted more like most men.

Early Life

This is a story about one of the most terrible and ruthless serial killers. His name is Jack and I will tell you the story of his life. This is not a story of full love and joy, but a story of pain and hate. This is how he becomes what most consider being crazy and monstrous. I will let you in on a secret though. He did what some wanted to do and what most dare not do. He did it with a passion and he did it well.
When he was younger he had the life of a normal child. He was loved and was fascinated with the world around him and his family was not much different from many others of that time period. In the time period he grew up most kids were raised by women only. His mother was the only parent he had in his life. His father died early on in his child hood.

Jack was about 4 when he started to have some anger problems. They were a bit worse than most children, but he was a child and like any child when he didn’t get his way he became angry. His anger felt different than just the standard anger. He felt like he had a black hole in his chest and no matter what the outcome was of the situation it couldn’t be filled. He always said “I want to kill myself or somebody” even though he knew he could never kill himself. These little tantrums happened very often when Jack was young. Besides this, his life as a young child was very normal. Where he grew up though couldn’t have had a positive effect on his life. He grew up in community called Ellington Circle, which was not a prime place for a child to live and grow. The school was even worse because its environment was very hostile for an elementary school; actually it was more like juvenile detention center if you ask me. The school was called Eva Turner Elementary School. This school was the type of school that spit on an education and bred hate. Many kids there tried to intimidate a lot of the other children, something Jack didn’t quite understand at that age. As he went to school his hate not his education grew. Like when he got into his first fight over another child stealing the basketball that him and his friends were using. “Hey why are you taking our ball?” Jack said. “It is mine now. HAHAHA! ”. “But we waited in line for it!” “Sucks to be you”. The boy named Darius said with a grin. Then Jack jumped on the back of the Darius and began to choke him until some girls came up and said “We are telling on you!”. This started the unbound hate Jack had for people. While choking the boy he realized what he was doing, but the only reason that he let go was because he was in shock of the hate he was feeling and that he was actually acting out on it. “I could have easily killed him and I wanted to more than anything else. What kind of piece of shit thinks that he can take what is not his without even asking? Who does this kid think he is? I had a death grip on that boy’s neck and if those two girls hadn’t of come he could have been seriously hurt or even killed, but I’m saying that like I cared.” Said Jack to himself quietly.

Later in the principal’s office Jack sat as he was waiting to be interrogated. The principal comes in and she is an African American lady about 70 with moles all over her face. The moment she walked in and Jack’s eyes gazed upon her; he knew that he hated her once he saw her. Then he realized it again, “I hate this women and I don’t even know her. Why? Why do I feel like this towards people today?” Jack said to himself as he pulled his hair. After she had sat down she asked him why he fought the boy named Darius. Jack said all he could say, which was the truth. “He stole my basketball while I and my friends were using it.” He said like an upset child that wasn’t getting candy at the grocery store. “That’s all!” She said. “You don’t understand.” As Jack said this he stood up as if he was trying to intimidate her. “Oh, but I do understand. You need to keep your arms and legs to yourself.” She stated with a grin. She didn’t understand and Jack knew a lost cause when he saw one. Finally his mother arrived and she was not to happy. She discussed the problem with the principal and Jack was taken home for the day. He attempted to explain what happen to his mother, but why would an adult believe a child. It didn’t matter in the end though. Jack felt that not even god could understand how he felt. The hate, the pain, the joy and the thrill Jack received from that day. It was truly the beginning of the end.

That life Jack had continued for about five more years. Then at age nine his mother told him that she, his sister and he were moving to a town called La Plata. Jack didn’t know whether to be happy or sad. All he knew is that this could be his second chance, a second chance for a new life and attitude. So Jack said his goodbyes to all of his friends that he was leaving behind. Then Jack was on my way to begin something. What that was, he wasn’t sure, but either way he was doing it.
Jacks first day there consisted of moving his belongings and video games. His sister Kristy made friends way before he did. At this time in Jack’s life he started to become reclusive by shutting out everyone that he could in his life. Finally about a month of living there Jack met the best friend he would ever have. His name was John and did John have an imagination. This is probably what made Jack and John bond so quickly. They spent most of our time in the woods or fields exploring and making forts.
“Hey John we should go hang out in the field.” “My dad said I can’t go there though.” John said looking down at his feet. “You have feet John so you can move. He will not know that you are there”. “Well alright you managed to talk me into it Jack”.
When they finally arrived at the field they headed to this big oak tree that was in the middle of it. “Wow! I always feel so good when I come to this place”. Jack said as he raised his hands and looked up at the sky. “Yah. It is really beautiful”. “Come on John I will race you to the tree! Last one there is a rotten egg!” “You are on!” This was a summer full of adventure and peace. Jack thought that he had forgotten the attitude he previously had in Ellington Circle, but all things must come to an end. What ended this long summer of joy and adventure was school and Jack’s dreams.
As the last two weeks of summer started Jack began to have terrible dreams, dreams that would cause a mad man to be viewed as sane. The first dream that Jack had was a dream of him killing. Jack was in a room with himself. The other person was Jack, but wasn’t and just stared at Jack with a grin. Then he pulled out a knife. The next thing Jack knew, he was on a table strapped down. The person that looked like Jack began to slowly cut open Jack’s shirt. Then he used a surgeon’s knife to cut open Jack’s chest vertically. He slowly pulled out organs and as Jack watch he felt the pain of it all. They whole time the clone of Jack had a grin on his face and that expression never changed. Finally Jack woke up sweating. “That dream was so vivid it felt so real.” Jack said to himself as he wiped the sweat from his forehead. The only thing that Jack knew after that night was that he would not ever be the same boy that he was over the past summer.

So what do you think of this story so far? Should I keep writing it because I have a couple of chapters done?

Not really I just read a lot. I also always think to myself that I could write a better book(Storyline wise) then most of the books out there. Please keep in mind I just got into college so my writing skills are not the greatest, but my vacabulary is alright.

You mean *vocabulary*.

I think that if you really put your blood and sweat into the story, it will shape up.
