Oh man, I'm such a sci-fi geek, I'm afraid I'll spam the whole thread. But I'm trying to control myself and not posting 100+ films.

Solaris (Andrei Tarkovsky)
Reflective, beautiful picture which is more about our inner space, than the outer space. Great actors, amazing screenplay, stunning visuals.
Blade Runner (Ridley Scott)
Dystopian, dark "sci-fi noir". Very atmospheric. Young Daryl Hannah as cyberlady Pris is stunning!
Alien (Ridley Scott)
Everybody loves this, man! Spooky, jumpy and of course a "WTF" moment of the century - Kitchen Scene! |

Totally forgot to mention Danny Boyle's Sunshine, yeah.
Special mentions from me are also Moon (Duncan Jones, son of David Bowie). Debut movie by amazing new director researching his father's "Space Oddity" probably
I don't know if A Clockwork Orange somehow goes to sci-fi category, but then this one too.
I like the prequel to Chronicles of Riddick much more. It's a small-budget Black Pitch film.
And fook those who say X-Files Fight the Future motion picture sucked. It's like a one best X-Files episode of epic proportions!
