I only got to see about 5 episodes of Tenjho Tenge but what I saw I was impressed. Well, they stopped showing it on tv then the company went out of business that aired it and they never finished the series. I doubt the dvd's are even able to find. Anyways that is the history. Well, the manga just got finished. I heard complaints about the ending of Tenjho Tenge being not finished. I am wondering if Japan could see this message. I wonder if they would finish the series. The biggest question is "how many people want the series to be completed?" They did it with Inuyasha and finished the series. I don't see why they can't do it to this series too. You realized Inuyasha got the rest of the episodes cause America wanted to see it finished. It took all the people's complaining for them to finish Inuyasha. I could see it happen with Tenjho Tenge. It starts with our voice.

I watched the 26 episodes available on DVD back in 2008, and it appears that is a good thing. I just checked Netflix again, and discs 3 & 5 now have the infamous "Save" button, which means they are not available. That could mean new legitimate stock is not readily available to replace missing or damaged disks. Not surprising, given that it was a Geneon title.

As to completing the series, the main question was how popular the series was in Japan. I did not turn up TV ratings or DVD sales, but I did turn up on the following on the manga:
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-06-10/japanese-comic-ranking-june-1-7

You will find the manga at number 21, with an indication the previous issue came in at number 7. This was for June 1-7 of 2009. In the more recent rankings I checked, it was not in the top 30. Average sales per issue as of issue 20 would be just over 14.996, which would put its average rank well below the top 30

In other words, based on the popularity (or lack thereof) of the manga, prospects for a second anime are dim.

Another strike against it is that the original anime is 6 years old. While the InuYasha anime was just as old, the original anime was apparently more successful and longer running, and it also appears the manga sold rather well.

Further on that front, it appears the ending of that series did not fare quite so well. As it was aired after midnight, ratings are not a strong indicator, although I did notice they were in the same range as reruns of the original series aired in a similar time slot. In a quick search, I did not find it among the top rankings in Japan anime DVD sales. If my impression is correct, that would further weaken the case for finishing off the Tenjho Tenge anime.

I really love the anime[the action-scenes are the best>.<]From what i read further in the manga........the censors would be endless[such as Bob's girlfriend's rape scene being completlry taken out] But, the finished product wouldn't stray too distant from the mangaXDD Basically, I SUPPORT!~~

Based on information I came across when trying to determine how popular it was, the translated manga was criticized for heavy censoring in early issues, and continued, but lighter censoring even after changing it to a mature rating.

Some further info I came across indicates the manga was substantially more popular around 2005-2006. If it could have maintained that level of popularity, a concluding anime would have stood a fair chance.
