It’s a huge blow but it can’t be helped. They have every right to take action against scanalating while we barely have the right to complain.
Still, it’s really sad that a great site like OneManga is closing down. And I wouldn’t be surprised that if other big sites like MangaFox do the same. I’m happy to buy manga but I have to agree that scanalations are great way to find out if you like the manga or not. Also reading one volume every few months isn’t quite the same as reading one chapter every month (or week).
But as I said before, they have that right and we don’t. So we need to stop whining and acting so spoilt. Hopefully things will turn out ok.
Besides it’s not like there aren’t any alternative ways of reading them for free.

That ruined everything I just said.

Thanks for everything OneManga!

it really made me sad.. onemanga was the first manga site that i have visited and it really grew up on me..

what about the unlicensed mangas??.. it's so unfair..

if all manga sites would eventually be shut down, then i don't have any means to read manga anymore, manga stores in our place are so rare to find, even if you do find one, their manga selections are titles i've never heard before and popular mangas are so rare in our place too.. ... not only do this apply to me but to countless others too...

i hope they would realize that... if it's so unfair, then they can just let us read manga translations in the net for a price like anime sites..

I cant believe onemanga is going to close down! That was my first site to read mangas online!

WIth all these stuff going on on the net, i really dont know whether i'll start reading new series. I am introduced to new series through the net (online reading sites), and since they are no longer available online, i guess i wont be exposed to new series and i guess that means buying less mangas.

Seriously, i got a feeling mangas are just...going to disappear just like that. And manhwa and manhua will get more popular since they are (more) available online.

Does anybody on here read really not popular manga that you KNOW will never get licensed....I do and it really annoys me that I won't be able to read them anymore like Aozora Pop, Hatsukoi no Palette, Ageha 100%, and Cat Street.(Which I am trying to reread before they're gone.)

All I can say is good maybe some legal alternative can be worked out but the amount of piracy going on is sickening.

you can go **** yourself. do you realize how many different manga there are? you're clearly some lap dog for the manga companies. there are still other sites up, but they coome with viruses. so you go take that cute little fist of yours and put it where the sun don't shine
