They are helping the manga market, by stopping scan sites on the internet.

Maybe if manga was as cheap as it is in Japan more people would buy them rather than resort to internet scans. I hate reading long prints from a computer screen, but its worth it if my other option is to buy a book that costs $10 and only gives me 25 minutes of reading

I agree though, if the manga was cheaper then less people would resort to using online scans. The online sites aren't that great really, if you really want the series to continue, you're better off buying the books to support the artist.

Being lazy and not doing anything won't help but whining about something that would have eventually happened won't do you any good.
I had a hunch that Onemanga would be taken down since ANN's "Answerman" column had about 3 weeks of the same topic of Online scanlations. The sites would be fine if lets say, there was a plan like here on CR where you pay money for the good quality, or what not, and you'd still receive what you want and the industry benefits. Besides, I'd rather enjoy reading the series with the book in my hand then reading it on the screen of my laptop.

I don't why people are saying, "Well, someone will sub the anime," because some manga don't even become an OVA..... And I think this is kinda stupid. Japan's just losing money, because if the manga finally comes to America or somewhere else, people are most likely to buy it. And if ever single anime is dubbed... something is going to happen

You do realize that stuff was put up illegally. You see the problem with fansubs and scanulations is that you're watching for free without the companies getting money. You aren't buying the manga volumes or the anime DVD's (I'm buying manga like crazy). It could cause the series you like to end abruptly (Like Naruto Shippuden to end right now without the ending that will appear in the manga beforehand). You do have legal anime streaming people (Just look at this thread http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-535224/legal-anime-streaming-and-download-sites/). Plus you can read manga at libraries. It's both free and legal (Unless you forget to return it). So legal distrubution is always better than illegal distribution. And with all anime being dubbed, that is impossible. Anime that comes to America always ends up being dubbed but they also on the DVD's and box sets include the Japanese audio with English subtitles. Sometimes though it only ends up having that on DVD and box sets without a dub.

Isn't that about manga only although? Not anime?

PIRATE

urg, I bought many mangas at home but it's gonna hurt my wallet very much with so much less time amount of reading.
I mean, I don't care if the manga papers is high or low quality, as long as I can read with cheaper amount to buy then I will consider buying it.
