hunter x hunter is awesome. Its kind of unfinished though coz the manga is still ongoing.
Dragon Ball(the very first one) is awesome as well. theres not too much flashy moves, mostly martial arts unlike DBZ or DBGT
Another one is Trigun
Then theres Gundam Wing

DORAEMON IS THE BEST THOUGH

Honey and Clover was an absolutely amazing romance series.

As for a long series, Doraemon is my childhood favourite.

I'm gonna say Full Metal Alchemist (the regular season). They made a remake of the series but I think the one from years ago was the best.
