i'm just curious as to how much more money some of you would pay for access to lots and lots of manga a month on this site, and i don't hold any naive expectations of on time mange, but stuff that may be 2 to 3 weeks off the original release date

i personally would pay 25-30 dollars more if it meant i can read full moon without stealing money for Arina the author

how much more would you pay?

I just buy all the mangas I read - show my support in that series and business. =)
I'm not too "big" on clicking the "next" button after page and pages. wait for loading... etc.
So I just buy all of them.

But if it's offered at CR, I wouldn't mind paying =) I think it would be a good addition.

I buy all the want manga I want so spending more money on having access to it online seems pointless for me. But I guess its a good idea for people who don't have a lot of money but still want to read manga legally.

@SatoshiHirohito Your an idiot.

Some or most authors have licensed their mangas as of Late July - Early August, which means that the sites just as Onemanga.com or Mangafox.com etc... have stopped updating those licensed mangas, i'm not sure though if they have taken down the other published mangas but meh... you can't read past the last update

You don't have to get so stressy. You just made it sound that way and my mind assumed. Sorry!

I'd rather read it on paper, so I buy the actual books.

I guess I'd be willing to pay for online manga if I could read it on my iPhone.

... And well, as long as it wasn't any of the Big Three. I can get Shonen Jump if I wanna read that garbage.

Yes, I think I'd be willing to pay to read manga online. Tho I've been doing it for free on most sites I've found, I'm willing to make contributions where available. I'm just not sure if that offering legitimately gets to the authors & publishers, so I am cautious.

The funny thing is I haven't really been willing to purchase manga series from the same book stores where I am willing to buy entire series in paperback novels from the fantasy/scifi sections. This is due to the fact the mangas carried in the bookstore chains I frequent rarely carry titles of interest to me. Online purchases of anything is not common for me, old school buying habits-- I want to see "it" first, in person.

However, I'm very much in favor of subscriptions!!! Shonen Jump had been a staple mag in our family for years (& tho I still page thru it most months, there are few titles left which I follow-- the family's pretty much grown up past its youthful genre,) & I am a regular subscriber to CR.

The big question-- how much am I willing to PAY to read manga online? I suppose it depends on what's being offered & how it's accessed.
Anybody know of a manga site set up w/ subscriptions? Any proposals on how such a site should be set up?

It depends if I like the Manga or not.
But I think buying the actual books is pretty addicting itself.

I would pay for a manga subscription, like everyone else that has already mentioned, if they added the series that I read. Someone mentioned on another thread, that many of the mangas that are published in the US end up getting unreasonably sensored. I would rather pay a subscription fee to get to read it within a reasonable amount of time from the original Japanese release in its uncensored but translated form than wait 3-6 months for it to be released in the U.S. and censored.
