I think their traditional clothes are beautiful and really elegant.
I wish I could wear a hanbok *.* or a Kimono. I'd like a Hanbok better though.

liu yifei is still hawt whether she's wearing hanfu or modern clothes :D

anyways, traditional clothes are cool and all, but they can sometimes be kind of thick and layer-ly lol. i've worn male chinese traditional clothes, and it can get pretty hot under there especially if it's during summertime.

It think it would be very interesting to study the history of all these garments (also the male garments as well). When and where did these similarities appear, etc.

I think they're pretty amazing, It's good to have a unique clothing to a country in which people still wear today.

Not many countries do.

It's alright. They look a bit cumbersome to me, particularly the hanfu.

As for the kimono - it is cumbersome. I know how to put them on - after all of the effort of putting on a Kimono, you get pretty angry with it. I'd like to be able to wear something where I don't have to depend on others helping me to put something on. With a Furisode, it's too difficult to put on.

I'm actually a bit more fond of Saris and the look of Kitenge.

It's interesting how people change the style of the clothes from way back. Looking at these pictures, I think they're more of the recent types of "traditional clothing" i'm not sure. Go back and back, and they're styles are drastically different, but you can see how they're the base for the modern ones nowadays.

It'd be cool if you place one of the older ones, with the year it was taken, and place it next to newer ones, with the year it was taken of course. but......I can say that it has changed a lot....
