I will join and if you don't mind I will take over the plot as I have one thought up already from a while ago.

Name: Max
Age: 17
Body: height, 6.3ft. Six pack and averagely muscular, nothing outrageous.
description:blue spikey hair, a black viser, goggles with blue lenses, a necklace with an eagle on it, black jacket, navy blue t shirt, jean shorts, black sneakers.
wep:Doublesided Keyblade, looks like the original Keyblade but double sided
Bio:Lived on a world called Legaia witch was destroyed by the heatless. When it was destroyed he was sent into Radiant Gardens. He had the DSKey blade in his hands when he got their. He had been fighting off the heartless on his world with it. He desires to find a way back to his world and restore it to what it once was. Max currently lives in an orphanage on the west side of Radiant Gardens. Aerith comes to visit a lot and has become friends with Max and Kim. Max visits cid all the time to see if he is done with his gummi ship yet as well. Max spends most nights looking up into the sky at the stars and wondering where his home is.

The story takes place after KH2 and will follow the hero I have made on his journey. Any and all others are welcome to join. Original chars and story chars if neccessary. I would prefer to keep it just original chars so lets get those first. Now let the journey begin.

Character Profile:

Name: Morthoseth (just to make things easier on everyone)
Gender: Male
Weapons and Abilities: Morthoseth's weapon of choice is the Halberd-Key which is a unique weapon with two forms. It's short range form is a tri-blade weapon which is strapped to Morthoseth's left bracer. This weapon is most ideal for quicker opponents but lacks any real power. The long range form of the weapon is derived when the shaft of the tri-blade is extended to create the signature halberd/spear appearance. As a defensive weapon, Morthoseth also carries a medium or large shield on him at all times. He is designated as a "Lancer" type which means Morthoseth specializes in "Jump" attacks similar to Cid or Freya in Final Fantasy. His Halberd-Key is a keyblade by design but fashioned to suit his weapon of choice and fighting style.
In addition, Morthoseth is able to summon a silver chocobo as a riding companion and he excels in jousting attacks. Finally, Morthoseth is proficient with some holy-elemental magic which allows him to heal wounds and cure status illnesses but this is an ability which he is still developing. The pinnacle of Morthoseth's power is the ability to summon the powerful creature known as "Alexander Transcendence".
Age: Looks to be around 20 to 23 years old.
Appearance: Not much is know about Morthoseth other than the fact that he is a member of a mysterious faction of keyblade knights. Symbolic of his membership in this organization is the armor he wears on his entire body. The armor resembles the ones worn by the knights in the secret ending of Kingdom Hearts II. The color scheme of Morthoseth's armor is mainly outlined in a shiny silver tint but with trims of blue and black.
Home Town: Unknown
Personalty: Morthoseth is a very reserved and quiet person. He likes to immerse himself in deep thoughts and he always seem to have something on his mind--something which is bothering him or perhaps he wishes to find the answer to a question he has longed been searching for. He is a loyal member of the group who places the lives of his friend above his own. He prefers to let others lead although he does offer helpful advice from time to time. When he speaks, he shows his chivalry and wisdom.

To make things more fair for everyone, I'd say that the storyline revolves around all of our characters. Although, you're allowed to split up once in a while to do personal stuff.

Name: Licec (pronounced as leeh-sehs)
Gender: Male
Weapons and Abilities: 2 Dagger-Keyblades, which is a shorter and more aerodynamic version of the Keyblade, which are held backwards. He has an odd ability of sacrificing some of his own life to fire off a wave of darkness to kill his enemies. He also can summon an ethereal blade that is covered in blood to rises from the ground to hit the enemy, healing him a bit. These moves seem to also waste his energy to cast them fairly quickly.
History: Unknown
Age: 25
Physical Appearance: Looks a lot like a heartless, with spiky black clothing that has silver linings here and there.
Home Town: Unknown, but appeared in Town that Never Was
Personality: Loner, but can cooperate well.

(Just a note but my character will mainly be a tag-along character who helps out in battles. If things progress more and I get a better sense of the story, I can help out with story ideas and things of that nature. For now I'll just see how things go. We have a lot of members in this forum so I'm wondering if we can accommodate so many keyblade users. I would prefer role-playing with just a smaller number of people. For instance, those who are planning to host a story can choose who he/she would like to have as 'party members' and others can do the same.)

^I agree. Besides, the biggest problem in an RPG is battles. Usually, other RPGs have numerous calculations in them so that the players playing them wouldn't just go and "beat the living hell out of the enemies". I'm wondering how the battles play out.

^ The players might be a problem too since some could come in, be all power, and just kill everything in sight--essentially god-modding. If I saw that, I wouldn't hesitate to remove them from the role-playing. It's just not fun being powerful all the time. There is also the matter of frequency--they signed up but how often will they appear in the role-playing, per se?

As for your other question, how about we try a 'level' system? -- The host, gives his/her players base levels and we can use that as a comparison in battles and level up after fights. If someone has a good idea for creating character stats, that's even better but for now, we can just use 'levels' as a base for comparison on how strong our enemies are.
For instance, if we are all Lv.10, then it's going to be very easy fighting a large group of Lv.1 heartless. We know we can take them down easily. However, if we were fighting a group of Lv.15 heartless, then the damage we do and the damage done to us would also reflect the challenge. This means, we can't just kill everything in sight so easily. Even if we are carrying powerful weapons, they should have their limits. If we were fighting a group of Lv.20 heartless, it would mean they are much tougher; Lv.30 heartless are going to be hard or nearly impossible to kill with our current level and so on.

Level system will mean we will have to keep track of our own power and stuff such as. I go for the old fashioned dramatic and epic battles. Also the go with the flow kinda thing. I agree with the chars. I didn't mean the story wouldn't involve you guys. I just meant it's main and ultimate goal would be this, or something along those lines. Maybe we could get a female char or 2 I mean right now this is a serious sausage fest.

^ Don't you think you might encounter some complications if there isn't some system in place? -- For instance, god-modding and downsizing the attacks of role-players? -- How do we know if a character shows up that we're not suppose to defeat yet versus someone who is easy to fight?

Also, what is your impression of the level system I suggested? -- Were you thinking abotj something complex like calculating stats and all that?

Yes. I was thinking you meant exp distribution the whole shibang. Also if the enemies we face are npcs than it wont really matter if we kill them or not. Also if the bad guy is not suppost to die he will be too powerful to kill. Like if he can move in less than the blink of an eye and can stab you without you even seeing him move it is quite obvious that you can't beat him yet.

^ What if certain players can move at that speed too? -- eg. he can move in less than the blink of an eye and can stab you without you even seeing him move it is quite obvious that you can't beat him yet--won't there be complications there?

Plus, I didn't mean experience points and the whole thing. Just move players up by level. It's only really there to be a source of comparison. In the example you gave about the guy who can move in the blink of an eye, just give him a really high level. You don't need to plan out stats or any of that. For instance, say he is Lv.100. A character who can also move pretty fast might be Lv.10. Just by comparing the two numbers, it is clear how much more powerful the first guy. That's all we need to know and gives us a sense how much stronger the first guy is. After some battles or weapon upgrades or whatever, characters increase their level based on who is controlling the role-play.

Ok fine maybe speed was a bad example. How about this one. The guy would be seen catching one of our char, any and all chars, keyblade barehanded and tossing them away. He would then be seen as an unbeatable opponent. Or the almighty, "dark ominous figure that is obviously the main bad guy," so the players take the hint and get beat on purpose.

^ I guess that doesn't sound too bad although I'd just be a bit careful about handling other people's RP characters. It sounds like to show someone's power, you might have to directly show it and imply that the players can't do anything to counter.

But other than that, doing it that way seems alright.
