Apparently he/she meant YAKITATE JAPAN! and not Yakatte Japan,I don't know any Yakatte Japan from all the anime/manga I've readed/watched(which could be over 800--including short series&one shots&spin-offs so it' s very possible)...And the closest sounding one is Yakitate Japan! Yes it is a very good series indeed, found it on CR years ago~

And it's licensed already by Viz Media...Well the manga only though, not sure about the anime yet...It is unlicensed as an anime, but I'm still confused about its situation.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yakitate!!_Japan.
I'm hoping that they could release it here thoughhh~~~

I just used her spelling for the reply, but confirming again with the proper spelling does not turn up any licensee of the anime. I remember it from CR's pre-legit days, although I never got around to watching it.

I'm hoping for:
One Piece
Next season of Tegami Bachi
Nurarihyon No Mago(Very captivating and it has the ability to make its way as a popular series to the same caliber as Naruto/Bleach/KHR/One Piece)
If possible,Black Rock Shooter's OVA?
More OVAs please~
Tales Series
Second season of Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi
K-On!(Haven't watched it lol)

Anything I have or haven't watched(hoping for)

The problem with One Piece is that it is licensed by Funimation. I wouldn't go so far as to say that you would see it on CR when hell freezes over, but it is no doubt closer to that than a simple 'unlikely'.

I think the next season of Tegami Bachi would be likely, and if CR didn't get it, they could expect a substantial number of upset members.

Nurarihyon no Mago was licensed by Viz Media. It appears on Hulu (and no doubt their own site) as Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan. While there is certainly precedent for CR getting a series licensed by Viz, they only seem to do this with those that have a large audience. I expect these Viz-licensed series bring in significantly less revenue per view/user.

K-on! was licensed by Bandai. Like Viz, there is also precedent for CR licensing it, but I am uncertain how likely this is. The newest Bandai-licensed series I can think of that is currently on CR is the first Gundam00 series, but perhaps someone else can point out something more recent. As there seem to be a lot of requests for this one, I would think CR at least will check into it.

It appears the second season of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya has also been licensed by Bandai, with the DVDs apparently due out August 17.

fyi, crunchyroll goes threw either the American/European license holder or the original Japanese license holders, thats why some of us pay, and all new eps are only availible to premium members the week they come out. crunchy needs to get permision before puting anything on the site. also, i wish people would respect what crunchy was doing more, please, buy a http://www.crunchyroll.com/premium_comparison premium membership, everyone here has pirated before, its time to pay your dues
also, to those who own premium accounts and post new stuff to other sites, $%@ you, its $60 for a year, WoW cost that in a month.

the ads on the site and streams for non-members still send money to CR and therefore buy licences for anime which in turn goes to the japan creators or crunchyroll operational expenses(maintenance, paychecks and such) even if they aren't a stable source of cash. not everyone that comes to CR is an adult that has money to spent on memberships in fact alot of the people here are teenagers.yes,as Crunchyroll is a legit streaming site that uses the cash it receives from it's viewers to buy licenses from the proper right holders of the anime.

has everyone that comes here pirated? probably, pretty much everyone in the world who is capable of pirating has pirated something whether is an mp3, show, program or something else at least once,

those people ripping the anime from this site don't care one bit of what you think of them.i agree on with you on this they are garbage but they don't care what i think of them

WoW subscriptions are less then $20 monthly.

now if you ever wish to confront me on something i posted on a forum again, please do it at the forum not sending me a pm about me stuff i was aware of

Edit after reported to mod : ( i fully wish the mods opinion of my post also) i stated only two opinions(being wrongly lectured through pms about a earlier forum post and that people that rip anime off this site are garbage also one very likely theory that almost everyone has once has pirated something

not to mention i stood up for the viewers without membership that make up alot of this site

WoW subscription price is right a two month game card is 40 CAD which is the most expensive option that is less then $20 US a month

I admit my tone of the last sentence was worse before the the first edit but the substance was the same.

nor did i attack Retribution87's character in this post other then saying if he wishes to comment on something i posted in the forums to put it in the forums not in my inbox

that i know of crunchy already as most of the currently airing series, which considering the fact of how new crunchy roll is, is pretty amazing
i would also like to see more older series added on here, i mean i have watched virtualy everything i wanted too, but its still nice to rewatch them in a respectable place like crunchyroll

Get Black Butler and Kaichou wa maid-sama!!! that's a must

Unlikely, as both are currently licensed to other companies.

As Funimation holds both streaming and home video licenses to Black Butler, you can rule out seeing it on CR if you are in the U.S. or Canada. In theory, CR could try for a license for other nations, but there appears to be no precedent for that (i.e., try finding a single CR series that isn't available in the U.S., but is elsewhere).

The Anime Network holds the streaming license to Kaichou wa maid-sama. Assuming this is not an exclusive license (which I suspect it is), CR could potentially get it, but would probably do so only if the terms were very favorable.

While there is no harm in letting your wishes be known to CR, I just wanted you to be aware of the reality of your request.

Funimation and Crunchyroll both now have simulcast licenses for Strike Witches season 2 in the USA (+Crunchyroll has licenses for outside the USA).

If anything it would be better business sense for Funimation to open up for more series to be streamed on Crunchyroll as well to widen the audience.

I hope this is a sign of things to come and Funimation and Crunchyroll both start getting more streaming licenses for the same Anime.

The unique aspect here is that CR had the streaming license first. Frankly, given that they Funimation had the first series, I was a bit surprised when they did not license the second one when it premiered.

Obviously, the streaming license CR obtained for SW2 was not exclusive. The question is, when it was initially offered to Funimation, was this one of the conditions of the contract that caused them to pass on it, or was the price simply too high? If it was the latter, did CR obtain a more reasonable cost by giving up exclusivity? We will likely never know.

I do think those outside the U.S. and Canada that can now view it on CR should be thankful for whatever reason Funimation initially passed on it.

I expect it will be rare for either Funimation or CR to license an anime already streamed by the other (more so for Funimation, as they only stream to the U.S. and Canada), as it is simply dividing the market.

It should be noted that Funimation's license for SW2 is not only for streaming, but home video release. Frankly, it seems just about any title they license for DVD comes with streaming rights, although I can think of one apparent glaring exception: The first two Nanoha series.

While there are titles that appear on both sites, some unusual aspects apply to those. I cannot think of any title where the anime was first licensed from the original rights holder in Japan by Funimation first, and then licensed by CR.

Probably the most recent titles (aside from SW2) the two have in common are the Gonzo series Blassreiter and the two The Tower of Druaga series. That is no doubt due to CR having an existing contract to stream these, and Funimation acquiring rights to the Gonzo titles as a package later (which could not legally void existing contracts).

There are also the older Toei Animation titles, such as Air Master and Pretty Cure, both of which appear to have been repurposed from an older streaming site, based on the equally poor video and overcompressed audio one obtains from either series regardless of which site it is viewed at.
