There isn't even the 'pretty girl' aspect to lure me in (Cause I'm not gay) and the male leads are usually boring because they have to create a character to take the place of the player. Plus I don't like the whole 'harem' aspect, like with a guy having 3 or 5 girls to choose from when he's one of the biggest losers around. I don't find that entertaining, that's the reason why I've only ever watched one harem anime, Love Hina, and that's more of a comedy.

Air and Kanon aren't really from a eroge and both of them are too different from a slice of life as it has some magic-things in it and plus its not really harem when he only chose one girl. Another thing is that both of Air's and Kanon's male lead is different from other visual novel heroes(like Shiki Nanaya/Tohno for example) and yes i'm going to rant about armpit hair and fart fetishes if someone quote this post

In anime I like grit sweat and pure emotion. Which makes me want to ask. Outside of UC, what anime do you watch? In Gundam, I watch it all, and only dislike Wing and consider DESTINY to be a trainwrek For Mecha: Most of them I love. Ideon, Dunbine, Full Metal Panic though for the comedy mostly, Eva if you count that, and I'm looking into Votoms Other Genres: my favorites are Cowboy Beebop, Planetes, and Death Note

Gundam, Evangelion, and Getter Robo are my personal favorites. I also like things like Fullmetal Alchemist and Chrono Crusade. Comedies such as Azumanga and Cromartie High. And of course blood and gore with Hellsing.

You may be suprise how good it is.
