Some news that the Madness is coming back to video games, oh yeah. The ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage will be part of the upcoming ‘WWE All Stars’ video game that comes out March 29th and is featured below cutting a promo that blows away 95% of the promosin the last year (with a few lines borrowed from ‘Superstar’ Billy Graham):

http://www.f4wonline.com/content/view/19110/

Also IGN has a preview of the game at http://ps3.ign.com/articles/114/1144413p1.html?_cmpid=ign1161 and the roster so far is up:

•John Cena
•The Rock
•Andre the Giant
•Bret Hart
•Rey Mysterio
•Triple H
•John Morrison
•"Macho Man" Randy Savage
•Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat
•Big Show
•Kofi Kingston
•Sheamus
•The Million Dollar Man (GameStop Exclusive)
•Ted Dibiase Jr. (GameStop Exclusive)
•Eddie Guerrero
•Sgt. Slaughter
•Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka

ALSO, A leak of the cover art for the WWE All Stars video game indicates that both Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior will be in the game along with Randy Savage, who was formally announced earlier this week. The game will be released March 28th just before WrestleMania 27.

Dig it!

A few quick clarifications for the WWE All-Stars Game:

-Ric Flair is not part of the roster for the WWE All-Stars game.

-Hulk Hogan is in the game, thanks to the fact that he is able to make licensing deals outside of TNA. This is a new game deal instead of an older one that was in place before he went to TNA.

-Speaking of Hogan the cover art update is such: the cover art for the WWE All-Stars video game that will be released in March came out. On the cover are Hulk Hogan (THQ insisted he be in the game and on the cover), John Cena, The Rock, Kofi Kingston, Randy Savage, Ultimate Warrior, Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio. Curiously, no Steve Austin.

Just an updated story link to a previous story on THQ, makers of the WWE video games:

http://www.gamespot.com/news/6297357.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=morenews&tag=morenews%3Btitle%3B6

The big note is the drop off of sales of RAW vs. Smackdown 2011, maybe something also playing into the hands of the more arcade like WWE All-Stars game coming. Sadly if you were Asia you won't be getting that online game since it got cancelled as noted in the article.

man i cant wait to get WWE All Stars!

i LOVE the super exagerrated look and the over-the-top moves! i also love the legends roster! no need to unlock them by going thru a story mode or anything, cuz theyre already available! and the DLCs are looking awesome too! cant wait to see how the Legion of Doom looks like!

one question: is there any word on outfit changes or color versions? i would LOVE to see a Hollywood Hogan version, a NWO Macho Man version and the infinite color combos that the Ultimate Warrior could be put in! even an old school Undertaker with the grey leggings and gloves would be cool as HELL!

i also heard that Paul Bearer and the Fink will be in it too, but as non-playable characters...

Nothing yet BUT with DLC there's likely a good chance of extra outfits. There has been revealed on RAW that the game also has a Create a Wrestler mode (and safe to say fans can do WAY better than Abraham Lincoln and George Washington CAWs).

Only non playable characters confirmed are indeed the Fink, and Jim Ross on commentary as they both did voice recording sessions intensely with the creators of the game.

Interesting aside:

WWE All Stars is the first WWE game to be produced by the THQ San Diego team. Many of the team's employees had worked Midway San Diego, the studio that developed the first TNA Impact! professional wrestling video game. It is the second WWE game Sal Divita has produced, the first being WWF WrestleMania: The Arcade Game.

The Official site is updated too at http://www.wweallstars.com/

And here's a few more trailers:

Roster http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQMO_coTFJY

Interview with Sal Devita http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBFOVF8iTZE

It comes on March 29th for all video game systems. I might give it a look myself too!

Saw the WWE All-Stars game in stores; dang that the anime convention season is about to begin so got to save up for that first before deciding on other purchases. Did talk to Gamestop workers that the presale downloads like the Dibiase family likely will be made available via code later on online for a fee for all systems so long as one has the internet hookup for the gaming system.

Interesting blog on the WWE game and more from former WWE writer Dave Lagana is at http://iwantwrestling.com/2011/03/29/punk-vs-stonecold-wweallstars/ and there are more trailers too of the game like some of the possible matchups.

Also at http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/wwe-all-stars/index.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=newsthisweek&tag=thisweek%3Bstory%3B4 are more videos, photos and reviews of the game too. Enjoy!

There won't be any more official news announced yet on future annual "RAW vs. Smackdown" now "WWE" games until at least the big video gaming convention E3, while the WWE will do updates at http://community.smackdownvsraw.com/ where this is what they've posted for the moment in their news section:

Bigger, badder, better, and with that "Smackdown vs Raw" as you know it has been reborn as WWE '12! Ladies and gentlemen, WWE universe, today does indeed mark the beginning of a "new era" in the chapter of the WWE Games universe, and as "The Viper" says, every champion must reinvent himself. Now is our time with WWE '12...

You've seen our "announcement tone trailer", now it's time to see WWE '12 in action for the first time, as we bring you WWE Games LIVE from E3. Next week, Tuesday June 7th - Thursday June 9th, we will LIVE stream our E3 gameplay demo of WWE '12 to ensure the millions (and millions!) eager to see our new Predator Technology™ and improved gameplay features will feel right there with us.

The WWE did release a new teaser trailer to present Randy Orton as the cover guy for the new game at
http://vids.wwe.com/12160/randy-orton-graces-the-cover-of

The belief was that the brand split was not strong enough and fans didn't decipher talent being exclusive to one brand and felt the WWE brand was a stronger marketing tool for the game.

There's no word yet on another WWE All-Stars game but the site also has a link to their official site for that game too as more news comes in there.

In some other news:

-Former WWE star Hulk Hogan will be getting his own X-Box Kinect game. At http://www.gamespot.com/news/6315827/hulk-hogan-gets-kinect-ed?tag=newstop%3Btitle%3B13 this "performance-based wrestling game" called Hulk Hogan's Main Event will check how you do poses, moves and more under the tutelage of the Hulkster. The game is slated for the Fall of 2011.
