There’s gonna be a second season called “Yumeiro Patissiere Professional” I just found out. I’m so excited!!! You can find the article on Anime News Network. It’s coming out on October 3rd.

According to what I read, it's gonna be set several years after the first series when Ichigo is an adult and running her own store (I think she's working with the Sweet Princes (my opinion)) and there will be new characters as well as the Sweet Princes.

Here's the article:

WTF Ichigo has boobs!?
She looks so much older, i don't get it!?
Is there a time skip or something!?

I get it though. After yumeiro patissiere there will be a two week skip and then the second season will come out or something but still!!!!

How old is she there I want to know!!!

She looks like she's 16 by the way

It's set a couple of years after the main series, so she's an adult. Of course the Sweets Princes will be in it too (or should be). I agree she should be dating Kashino in the 2nd season.

Edit: They'll let us know more in the November Ribon Magazine which comes out on October 3rd .... I think. I'm not sure of the release date of the magazine.

This news made my week!!

Can this really be called a shojo manga when she's at that age?

Well it's an original series, so I guess it's okay. The only thing I hope for is that Ojou does not appear in the new series.

Edit: I can't wait to see what the Sweet Princes look like as adults!!!

It looks like everyone just got their wish. ANN just announced that there will be a second season entitled "Yumeiro Patissiere Professional".

However...

This new season will be taking place several years later with an older Ichigo. As far as I can tell, it will be overtaking the manga (which is still in the middle of the original story) and going in it's own the direction. I'm hoping it will still be the same family friendly series we have now, but that's most likely a given IMO.

I wonder if CR will also stream that season once it comes.

Incidentally, the manga is monthly, so it's not entirely surprising that this might happen.

EDIT: Oops. I goofed. Someone else beat me to the punch. Sorry about that. In any case, if this new season focuses more on romance, and less on the craft (and by extension, the sweets themselves) I'm not going to be happy. One of the reasons I decided to watch this show was because it isn't a disguised romance story; any shojo anime (or manga) could do that (at least IMO).

yea, i totally agree with you. hopefully ichigo will get some kid she'll have to teach recipes to and everything. i mean, as much as we all love romance (but i do hope there is some), i hope it stays to it's family-friendly ways.

If there is no Season two I will be SO PISSED! After all The manga goes on for much longer, but it's not online far enough yet D=

i'm very shocked and suprised that the 2nd season makes them so much older! I want them to be still young-- 16 years old would be best. Not what i expected (21 years old).
