Leave class and go sleep in the library. I don't really need to hear everything the professor says because I could ask what it is from a T.A.

I Try too stay awake but I always end falling asleep and waking up like 15 minutes before class ends, my teachers talks low and is boring as hell. His voice has no excitement and you can barely hear him.

Don't go to sleep in class and your academics will increase.

Well, it might not be avoidable if you had no sleep prior... but its better if you can stay alert I suppose.

I actually really did sleep through some of my classes a few years ago.

Just do that nap thing where you are just barely asleep but can still hear the teacher talking.

Get out of my chair and kneel or stand up in the back. I have seen guys do push ups to keep themselves awake. If the teacher is that quiet, ask them to turn up the volume.

Back when I was in highschool I would just go to sleep. That's probably why I can't speak Spanish...

If i close my eyes throughout the lesson, i would concentrate better. i like the darkness and it calms me so i don't end up feeling as sleepy. i usually sat at the back and the teachers kind of gave up so it was alright lol.
in any case, i preferred going over the notes and reworking them at home because i almost never got what was going on whilst in class lmao and was almost always sleepy lol.
the topics other kids found easiest was most likely the hardest for me because i just couldn't see the point of them unless they related to a wider picture. i think everything become a lot easier once i took it home and fit it all together.
I don't think you need to concentrate in class to do well, a lot of the stuff you won't remember once you leave the classroom anyway. it takes understanding and practice, that's all.

I usually sit directly in the middle of the classroom in my college classes so that way I still give the right impression of listening but also if I desire to close my eyes for a minute then nobody will really notice.

There is a good tactic for these type of situations :).

I am trying to slap myself mentally. Although it's very boring and I feel sleepy I would insist to listen. But I never experience being sleepy in class although I only have a 1 hour of sleep before.

- stabbing/poking my scalp with my mechanical pencil
- pulling my hair
- pinching myself hard
- blink slowly (so that (s/)he thinks I'm being contemplative (and am not in actuality falling asleep)
- close my eyes, have a pained expression, and rub my temples as if I've got a bad headache (and am not in actuality falling asleep)

Stand up, walk around a bit. Sit down again.
