What's up guys,

Thanks to the good folks at Media Blasters and Anime Works we will launch the first four episodes of MORIBITO: Guardian of the Spirit today!

The first four episodes of MORIBITO, directed by Kenji Kamiyama and produced by Production I.G., will be available to premium anime and all-access members, while only the first episode will be available to free users. The other three episodes will become available one month later on September 7 for free users. MORIBITO will be available to everyone in the US, Canada and all outlying US territories.

Based off the Japanese fantasy novel series, written by Nahoko Uehashi, MORIBITO was adapted into an epic 26-episode series that was well received by a worldwide audience, gaining even more acclaim after being featured on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim.

MORIBITO follows the journey of Balsa, a spear-wielding, wandering woman warrior, who takes on the task of saving lives in atonement for her past sins. On her journey, she happens to save a prince, and is tasked with becoming his bodyguard, as his own father – the emperor – has ordered his assassination. The two go on a perilous journey together to ensure the survival of the prince.

Hope you guys enjoy it!

wonderful!! ^_^ i watched kemono no souja first! but moribito is the best ever. it's real gurl power! plus without any fanservice, nahoko uehashi makes balsa incredible and a true heroine! it's so loaded with action and gorgeous scenery and has one of the best fight scenes i've ever seen, and with some really touching ones. although it depicts a utopic kind of world, the characters are well fleshed out and empathic

As usualy my membership fee becomes less and less worth bothering with, yet another anime i cannot access. =( Non US members should seriously have to pay less as we have less content on offer!

I've seen this a couple of times; one of my favorates of recent years.

Good sound and music and a nice story but what makes this one really stand out is the awesome quality of the animation.

It's just such a shame we can't watch it here in the UK :(

Sadly I wont be renewing my subscription since there's only really 1 series at the mo on here that I have any interest in thats viewable in the UK (that one being Naruto).
