I liked Hana Yori Dango way better!
For me, the Korean version was a little long & more detailed.
But I like short & simple stuff, so Hana Yori Dango is better!

HANA YORI DANGO. Better actors, better story. I gave up watching BOF halfway through (okay, maybe not totally--just skipped some parts) 'cause I got annoyed with Jan Di's character (not the actress-just the character). And Kim Hyun Joong's acting bored me to bits. (Was he just there to elicit some sympathy or something?) If there's any consolation, though, I liked Yi Jung and Ga Eul's story. Maybe there would have been more substance if they had their own spin-off, LOL.
But I don't hate BOF. I just like HYD better. Period.

Meteor Garden

If the first you've watched automatically means the best version then I would say MG. Gosh but I've watched it way way back. I couldn't even judge how good or bad it was as I am just like a 6th grader that time. But the humor is classic nonetheless!

Boys Over Flowers

Looking back at all the hype I can say kudos to the korean wave for making it extra special. But actually it was not. I don't know if my frustration came from the fact that I have to wait for its Tuesday and Thursday time slot meaning Wednesday and Friday night for the sub or because they have really really good looking actors. Eventually I got tired waiting for it to end that I wasn't able to see the ending. :p

The way they exaggerates things to make it more dashing is what made me like Kdrama less. The extravagant clothes and beautiful faces are all they can actually offer to me nowadays. And I saw that in the way they did BOF.

I like the settings though and Jun Pyo's acting. I think he portrayed Tsukasa's character well

Hana Yori Dango

I like it very much although it's like the 3rd I've watched. I ordered my views based on which drama I saw first.

They might not have the good looking ones as compared to the first two (in my opinion) but they have portrayed them well. I don't totally approve of Matsumoto in portraying Tsukasa at first because physically he lacks in all aspect. But Tsukasa became my favorite character at the end of the drama. And the simplicity of it is just right for all the characters to blend in.

They're like all connected. And the drama is short enough for my enjoyment. I actually didn't realize I am half way through. I like it best.
