nah.....

i have the skills and all and I'm currently making a manga right now since my club is related to anime/manga... but I don't wanna be a mangaka..it's not my dream..

well, that's my goal in life. To become an mangaka. Right now i'm making a 50 chapter manga named WitchCraft.

No, as much as I love manga no. I wouldn't be committed enough, miss my sleep, and I'm very artistically challenged. However for those who are interested, you should read Bakuman. as it gives a lot of insight on the industry. It's harder than you think. On average, the normal mangaka gets four hours of sleep a night, and spends almost every hour a day drawing manga before a strict deadline. You may be able to make a lot of money with it, but you will have next to no time to spend or use it.

While I have a thousand ideas I would love to put into drawing, I have all the artistic drawing talent of a three year old finger-painter. Give me three dimensions to work with and I can make something special, give me a pencil and half an hour later I'll still be trying to plug it into the USB port.

I've bought books aplenty on how to draw in various Manga styles. Everything from hairstyles, clothing, body proportions, even using tones and how best to apply them. While my drawings aren't totally horrible, im never really satisfied with them and consider myself to be an amateur at best. It'd be nice to make money out of Manga, but my skills just aren't up to that level.

Maybe in five years or so.
