My rabbit... (I consider her my family and my daughter) she was sick the night before and was bleeding heavily, I took her to the vet to get antibiotics... But in the morning... she just fell sideways... her eyes pale as ghost's... and body shaking for her last breath. It was so... heartwrecking... it was the first time in my life I watched a transition from life to death. And I was really petrified and experienced many weeks of grievance afterwards. I also had to bury her myself. I touched her body... it was hard as stone... her ears no longer soft like when she was alive... made me cry so much. After that experience, I never ever want to have anymore pets... I can't imagine having to experience something like that again.

We had just gone to visit him and met one of the nurses coming out of his room who told us it wouldn't be much longer until he was gone. I really wasn't expecting to see that when I went, I think that was the biggest shock.
