Usually when I don't have much time I just blow dry the top of my hair while holding it up and then I tip my head upside down and blow dry under it. This gives it some volume. Mt hair is curly so I just let it dry like that but It can work with straight of course. Then you can tease your hair to give it more volume (however much you want) then spray and done! Cute and quick hair!

I say you go on youtube and look up loose wavy curls tutorial and it'll teach you how to do loose curls in your hair. since you have long hair, i think it would look beautifullll cause after you curl it just leave it down or put it in a low ponytail, your pick :)

sorry, id explain how to step by step but i think a tutorial vid would be better cause i suck at trying to explain things. LOL.

Lol. You can also just towel dry your hair (and mess it up a bit on purpose) then tie it into something simple. Insta unique look. XD

my hair is also really long...the easy thing to do for me is to just leave it like that...(lazy much)....next alternative..do a high bun..much easier for working around....

I've got pretty long, thick and black hair too and when i've just washed it, it's so flat! It does nothing and i have to constantly apply heat to it but it does work. I would just recommend heat protection when applying heat (although, i'm a hypocrite because i never use heat protection...)
But what i do is quite complicated so i'll put it into steps:

1.) split your hair into a side parting

2.) Get straighteners and lift up your side fringe. Using the straighteners, curl back your hair, but not so it's extreme and quiff-esque. Just so it's more voluminous.

3.) Do this to all the hair near the front of your face, including near your ears and on the other side of the parting.

4.) With the roots of your hair, use the straighteners to straighten up and then curve them down, so it creates more volume with your hair

5.) Don't use hairspray or moose unless it's really light, because the feel makes your hair go all funny. I would recommend wax instead, and just stroke it through with your fingers and push upwards as well, to create a more bigger do.

6.) This is optional, but if you have layers, then i would use the straighteners to curve the ends inwards and then use wax to push it all up a bit more.

6.) Fin!

This looks just creates more volume so it's not so flat, but it looks great if you also put your hair into a bun or a simple ponytail. Also, the side plait looks good with this and it's very 'Alexander Wang'. Look on google images for "Alexander Wang S/S 10" and there's loads of pictures of the plait and the kind of style i aim for on a daily basis

Hope this helps...

Wow, I do almost nearly the same thing (minus volume and braiding, because I have THICK AS HELL hair XD) but wax? o__o

lol, it's really not as bad as you think. You just have to use the teeniest bit (and i mean a really small amount) and rub it in your fingers before applying it through and puffing it up a bit, it just helps it stay more poofy

half up half down. The hair tied up could be arranged into a mini bun. It's simple and it looks nice : )
