Crunchyroll's Daily Deal System is Deceptive

Hello. From my experience with Crunchyroll's Daily Deal system, the products that they send you are either used & returned or shelf-worn from never being bought. My latest experience is with the Kanu Unchou Daily Deal back on July 14th. After waiting a total of 23 days to get the item (though the delivery time was set to 5 to 10 days) I looked it over and saw that her golden name banner on her stand was very scuffed up, and on various parts of her body and hair there were paint miscolorations. The box was also sealed with Scotch tape, telling me that it was definitely a used product.

So what I'd like to know is how many of you out there have learned that the Daily Deal system's discounts aren't actually discounts, and what we might be able to do to make Crunchyroll an honest merchant of anime/game based items. Thanks for your time.

I haven't had a problem. Although that could be because all I've bought so far is the Ryuk Bookends and the Otaku USA Magazine subscription that arrived only two days ago.

There have definitely been problems with items being delivered later than expected but the issue with the item being defective, damaged during delivery or a pre-used seems to be a one time thing since I haven't heard of any other such complaints. One of our staff members is working with Mechromancer to have the item returned and replaced. These items are sent out by 3rd party vendors so I can assure everyone that we would not knowingly have a used item sent out to people and try to only partner with vendors that sell new (never used) items.

I see. Then I'm sorry for presuming something that isn't true about Crunchyroll. If it comes down to returning and replacing the figure I got I don't want you guys to go out of your day to do something like that -- you should solely look into which vendor sent me the used item so they don't do it to other customers as well. But thanks for your consideration.

By the way, if I may ask and be responded to through private message, will you be selling more Ikki Tousen figures in the future, such as ones of Ryoumou Shimei or Ryofu Hosen? Thanks.

So have you looked into the case further, such as if it was just a one-in-a-hundred mistake by the vendor, or if the scuffs on my figure's banner are a possible but infrequent manufacturing problem, not that it was used, etc.?
