In most RP forums, stats, or statistics are used to represent how strong a character is. Stats are represented by numbers and are used in engagements to determine how much damage a character takes by an opponent, or deals to an opponent. As a character levels up, they get increases in each stat. Different classes and races gain stats differently. For example, Paladins speeds are slow, while Ninjas and Assassins are fast. These are the type of stats to consider in Final Fantasy World RP:
HP represents the hit points of your character. The higher the HP, the more your character is likely to survive the battle.
MP represents the magic points of your character. The higher the MP, the more you can cast spells as well as being able to cast powerful spells per post. However, it's not wise to overdo spell casting in one post.
EXP represents the experience points of your character. This helps you keep track on how many points you'll need before your character levels up.
AP represents the ability points that your character has earned. With it, you can use it to learn new abilities, unlock new magics, and unlock licenses.
ATK represents the strength of your character. This indicates how much damage your character will deal per attack when it does hit.
DEF represents the toughness of your character. The higher the DEF, the better it will reduce your opponent's ATK.
KNW represents the intelligence of your character. This indicates how much damage your character will deal per spell when it does hit.
MagDEF represents the spirit of your character. The higher the MagDEF, the better it will reduce your opponent's KNW.
SPD represents the speed of your character. This indicates how many moves you can do per post during battle.
EV represents the agility of your character. This indicates how many physical attacks you can dodge at your defensive post.
CTR represents the interruption skill of your character. This indicates how many magical attacks you can dispel at your defensive post.
The new levels will show when a member breaks Level 19
Basic Command Menu
Upon RPing, there's a difference between an ongoing conversation and a battle. Sometimes some quest have their own set of rules to follow. For now, lets focus on how to battle in Final Fantasy World RP.
You have a basic set of commands to choose from the "Command Menu": Attack, Defend, Magic, Item, and Escape.
Attack - This is a Command feature to make a normal attack that is either unarmed, armed, or projectile attack. Depending on your species and classes, new Attack commands may appear. When that happens, those new Attack commands are categorize as "Special Attack."
Defend - This is a Command feature to make a normal defense against all types of attack. Damage reduction is based on either your DEF or your MagDEF that is usually calculated for you. Defend may not always save you from all types of dangers.
Magic - This is a Command feature to cast magic. Depending on your class, you can carry certain type of magic: Black, White, Green, Blue, Summon, and others. Black magic shows powerful offensive type of spells. White magic shows curative, and some offensive type of spells. Healing effects are reverse on targets that are undead or have Zombie. Likewise, some are able to kill an undead or Zombie target instantly. Green magic shows curative and support type of spells. Blue spells shows unique offensive, curative, and support type of spells. Summon magic shows various creatures, items, and equipments spells to bring into the battlefield. Sometimes those creatures, items, and/or equipments stay in battle until KO'd, broken, or unsummoned.
Item - This is a Command feature to use items in your inventory. You can buy, morph, find, or create items to increase your chances of survival in battle. Any items used in battle will be deleted from the character's database which needs to be replenish from time to time unless otherwise, stated.
Equip - This is a Command feature that lets you unequipped or equipped equipments found in your inventory. There are some abilities that gives one certain features like stacking equipments for various effects, wielding more than one weapon at a time, wear armor despite class, etc;
Escape - This is a Command feature to exit out of battle. This can be used at any given time even in boss battles!
Just knowing the basic of the "Command Menu" is just the beginning. There are many more Command feature available depending on your classes. Other than a smile as you savor each victory, you'll need to realize that this is a turn-based action per post (See Mock Battle). So, you've won because of strategy and not because somebody gave up due to your over-powered character. Of course, you may end up being just that but the battle doesn't end there. Legends are born and legends are forgotten. This is your world. Final Fantasy World RP.
