While I personally enjoy DBZ and the games along with it they are like a ham sandwich to gourmet cooking. Learning about frame data, hit boxes, lag, invincibility frames, advanced combos, dash/jump/move canceling, counter strategies, etc. etc. of games like Street Fighter, Tekken, BlazBlue, or Soul Calibur takes a LOT more time.

Dead or Alive 4 is very difficult on the harder modes. With that said, I practice cheap combos and counters to beat the AI. It takes a while, but you can really be good at DOA4 by knowing you're combos.

It takes me a while. I usually play on medium difficulty because I don't miss getting my ass handed back to me by the computer on Hard.  I practice now in the training mode (like Tekken's practice mode) to get used to it.

I suck at most fighting games despite the fact I enjoy playing them. SSB is probably the only fighting game I'm good at, and most people don't even consider that a fighting game. :[

It depends what character for me........ill get used to others quickely. Like lily from tekken. Or hitomi from dead or alive. But other characters take me awhile.

took me about 2 months to FULLY master the combo system and jugglin trick in Blaz Blue so that i will be ready to fight on the hardest mode. man, did i fight like a beast thanks to all that time practicing. due to Blaz Blue's advanced and fast fighting system, the Ai can really kick ur ass if ur not fast and good enough.
