Concerning everything in italics(which was written after my initial post):

I agree actually, kids(most adults for that matter as well) today hardly understand the gravity of the situation and the grief caused by dropping those bombs. It's just something that you study in history class, but it's all with a skewed take on things. Like "we had to drop those bombs or the war wasn't going to end". We didn't have to drop TWO H-bombs, wiping out thousands of lives instantly, and thousands more over the course of the next days/weeks/months. People today hardly value theirs and other peoples lives as much as we used to. It's not just a problem with Japan or the United States either, people are taught when they're growing up that their country can do no wrong, and it couldn't be further from the truth.

And before someone comes at me with a "the lives of many outweigh the lives of few", I understand. Yes, when they were dropped, it was war time and whatnot, it still doesn't mean it was right. There is always a better solution than bombing someone into submission.

Also, Nationalism is absolutely retarded. Seriously. In most cases it's just an excuse for ignorant bigots to commit hate crimes.

A world with more compassion would be great ^ o ^. Let the past be in the past, and the present to be full of joy.

That would be great!! BUT Japanese ppl wouldn't let that go.

The Japanese Minister would like forgiveness from the countries, which Japan have occupied. Japanese in this century have to face what their elders have done would be stressful, since certain Japanese have protested against the war.

I read your page, and one of teacher said that practice make permanent not perfect. ^ o ^

I just realized that Japan Prime Minister had to apologize in order to create a better relationship with South Korea and China because their market is shrinking -- no one is buying right now in Japan and no foreign investors want to invest there either. The economic market for South Korea and China are surpassing Japan right now. Japan is looking out for its economic future since South Korea and China are a emerging countries that Japan has to deal with.
